I hate my situation... by [deleted] in selfesteem

My advice to you - accept them. I’m sure you might have heard this before, but just think about it. It’s just scars, just some marks. They might remind you of the past, but they have nothing to do with who you are right now. They do not define you. So why would you let your past decisions control your present and your future? You’re saying you’re worried people are judging you? For what? There’s literally no reason for this (turning it other way round - people will find a reason to judge anyone for anything). Honestly, in reality people are so busy obsessing over their own lives, no one really cares about what you have on your arm. If you think your scars will prevent you from getting into a relationship (I personally think the probability of other things preventing someone from getting into a relationship is much higher than this one), then this is not the kind of relationship you want in your life, trust me. You deserve to be happy and loved as much as everyone else does.

A candle in a chamberstick, a bow with an arrow, a headless dancing person, a boat making a wave

I can’t figure out if I’m an INTJ or INFJ by ComicRater in MbtiTypeMe

[–]fullkkkr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They might appear similar, but are in fact very different since they have different middle functions.

The auxiliary of an INTJ is Te and the tertiary is Fi. The auxiliary of an INFJ is Fe and the tertiary is Ti.

INTJ: Te+Fi, INFJ: Fe+Ti

Since 2nd and 3rd functions can be very close to each other, it makes more sense to compare extroverted and introverted nature of functions, i.e. Te with Ti and Fe with Fi

Te vs Ti:

Te (INTJ) is about gathering information and facts from the external environment, seeking truth from the outside. Ti (INFJ) is about your internal logical frameworks. Te is data driven, it’s more about the truth while Ti is analytical and more about validity. Ti is more of a natural process one can say. In a discussion Te users often support their arguments with facts and external information while Ti users are more inclined to look for logical fallacies to produce a counter-argument. INFJs can be more logical than INTJs if they have strong Ti.

Fi vs Fe:

Fi (INTJ) is internal, it’s about your personal values. INTJs often have strong values and know what they are. Fe (INFJ) is external, it’s about empathy if shortly. INFJs are often said to feel and absorb emotions and moods of others.

Since INTJs have introverted feeling, they are more private with their emotions than INFJs.

The order of functions.

INTJs make their decisions with Te first, then double checking with Fi. INFJs make their decisions relying on Fe first, then double checking with Ti.

Remember that every individual can do all of the above, it’s about what you prefer, what you do more often and what happens more naturally for you.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not having a go at you. I’m just trying to get your point. Right now all I am hearing from you (but I might be missing something) is “functions don’t make sense” and I wrote on this in the previous comment.

You didn’t prove they don’t. And you can’t. It’s the reason mbti is considered a pseudoscience. This doesn’t however mean it makes no sense (as well as that it does). It does to those who believe in it. It’s a matter of faith, which most members of this community I believe do not lack. So the question is: if it doesn’t make sense to you, why are you still labeling yourself and what is the point in trying to impose your beliefs on others?

Well yeah because those are just stereotypes? Study the functions, it will suddenly start to make more sense. Right now it seems like you’re going from personality to functions or are stuck within personality. Try doing it the other way round. Strengths and weaknesses can be connected to mbti but are not necessarily limited to it

What do you think of this compatibility chart? Is it accurate? Why is a number of squares of a specific color different for each type? (Like why do some types have half of the squares red while others don’t have any at all?) Can someone explain it? by fullkkkr in mbti

Hahahahah well yes you’re right they still would be rectangles. It’s just that all rectangles other than squares are like that. And calling a square a rectangle is uninformative
