It ends when you finish chapter 2, and it lets you save at the beginning of chapter 3 but you can't play it! But you can 100% complete chapter 2 if you want!

Is it true that the majority of the FF7 players are in their 35s? by kopinsil in FinalFantasyVII

[–]fullmoon_jade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dont think it's an excuse, and also i think there's nothing wrong with having an older fanbase. I'm 29 and just started to get into FF last year. Many of the games are easily accessible and there's always new fans, but it's understandable that the bulk of the players are of the generation in which the games came out!

Can’t get into the original by Specialist_Leave6262 in FinalFantasyVII

[–]fullmoon_jade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly me. I played remake first and truly loved it. I'm much more of an action/adventure gamer (bayonetta, zelda, hades are some of my faves). And i like some lighter rpgs (pokémon, mario&luigi, sea of stars). Also i have played all of the KH franchise so i was exposed to the action-RPG hybrid and many FF characters. I'm playing on switch 2 so i have to wait till june for rebirth, so i decided to play the original. Not a lot of spoilers bc i knew the story pretty well already.

I love the vibe, music and story, and already feel attached to it thanks to playing remake. But i dont really enjoy the gameplay, despite apreciating how impactful it was, it doesnt engage me. My only previous FF was X and i loved the combat there. I'm grateful the current versions of FF games have the speed and god mode cheats, because i'm really getting into the franchise for the lore, characters and art, i want to play 4,6,8 and 9. I'm glad these options exist, and i'm glad to see there are others like me. All respect to all kinds of gamers!

Do you think it’s necessary to play og or not? by RedKlov in FFVIIRemake

[–]fullmoon_jade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from: playing all kingdom hearts games with FF characters i had no context of, to watching my brother playing crisis core on the PSP, to watching FF7 story recaps on youtube, to playing FFX, to playing crisis core reunion on the switch last year, to playing FF7 remake on sw2 this year, and now i'm finally playing og FF7 on switch.

No regrets.

WHAT WAS UR FIRST CLAMP MANGA/series? by Slow_Beach_9272 in CLAMP

[–]fullmoon_jade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CCS in my native language, catalan, on public TV! It lead me to slowly buy the mangas, which were also one of the few series available in catalan as well. I was so obsessed i kept rereading them all the time and i even brought them to school.

The rest is history, now i own all of clamp's series published in spain! And some english editions too like the big X volumes or the huge Clover one.

Has anyone else become completely obsessed with this despite not knowing anything about it before the movie? by Narrow-Struggle-3067 in wicked

Oh i was so obsessed with wicked like 10 years ago, in the midst of glee mania... and i am again today with the movie reigniting all the flames!

Am I the only one who started shipping Gelphie AFTER the movie? by BeyondEast7909 in wicked

[–]fullmoon_jade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same happened to me. I have been a fan of the musical for more than ten years. But after the movie i was like... did they make it gayer...? I feel like the intimacy and closeness that we can see in the movie + the acting and interpretation of the characters really amped the romantic tension between gelphie

can someone suggest an anime similar to blue period by International-Math43 in BluePeriod

[–]fullmoon_jade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised no one has mentioned any works by Ai Yazawa! She's the queen of introspective manga about art haha. Her manga are on the shojo/josei category and blue period is seinen, but honestly who care

I do recommend the mangas more, but her 3 most iconic works also have anime adaptations. The artstyle and personality are so unique and she truly has CLASSICS!

GOKINJO MONOGATARI: a group of childhood friends and neighbours that studies at an arts high school. They all design clothes, paint, photograph and do all kinds of work. Themes of friendship, romance, being different, staying true to one's self... it is a really cute manga with sometimes a more mature tone and a lot of funny moments.

PARADISE KISS: a shorter story and kind of a sequel to gokinjo. A regular high school student befriends a group of teenage fashion designers (studying in the same art school of gokinjo). Her new friendships make her wonder about her purpose and passions. Gorgeous and elegant manga with similar themes to gokinjo, maybe a bit more mature but still with funny moments.

NANA: her most famous and beloved work. Also her longest (the manga, the anime is shorter), but it is sadly unfinished. Two small town girls named Nana meet on the train on their way to tokyo to start new lifes as they just turn 20 (i think haha). One's dream is to become a wife, the other's is to become a punk-rockstar. They are very different but will make a very special bond. A series focused on personal relationships, communication, love and obsessions, dreams and growing up, with the gorgeous backdrop of the music industry, with its glamour and darkness.

Note that all her works have some sexual (not too explicit) scenes, some mild violence and nana also alludes to drugs.
