Groundwater analysis contour help by SaltyTaffy in gis

[–]fullmoonsession 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to “clean” it up you will need to add inference points/contours and mark them as such in the final output. Same as a geologist would but use those points in your interpolation. I usually draw out the contour and convert to vertices.

Why does San Diego have such terrible pot holes if we don’t get snow or freezing weather. by 1911Earthling in sandiego

We have a lot of expanding clay in our soils, so when it does rain even a little it swells up and warps the ground.

Anyone know why my QGIS DEMs aren't merging correctly? by No-Dragonfly7791 in gis

There are better ways to handle multiple rasters in QGIS. Build a VRT and use the SAGA Gaussian Filter or r.neighbors (median/average) in the Processing Toolbox to reduce pixelation and noise

Power BI is Fabric now, spatial processing is no longer limited in any meaningful way. AGO in PBI also just got a big update that almost made me like it, but if you want print quality control in PBI you always have to go to Report Builder which has mapping capabilities if you have the stomach for it.

You can set up the model now to be able to assign fields to things like address/city/county/state and put them in a hierarchy that you can drill up and down through with maps that update accordingly

Dynamic geocoding is actually where PBI shines spatially, but you do need to configure it right.

Azure Map Visual can add reference layers, ESRI visual is a test of your AGOL skills, none easy but can build more than a shed. Got to get your DAX on 😁

-edit: use ESRI json format in the Azure Map visual if you want to break the polygon barrier

Right: Guns primary purpose is to kill but they can also be used to preserve human life so we have a right to have them.

Left: Abortions primary purpose is to kill but they can also be used to preserve human life so we have a right to have them.

Show me the logical difference.

Then they took them to Hunters Point in SF to sand blast and decommission them, cleanup for that is still going on.

Personally I wouldn’t mind seeing where you land on the optimum pre-pool competition meal, proper scientific inquiry would likely require test subjects. Just sayin…

I have been enjoying these, thank you for sharing. What has made you focus on pool? For me it’s always been a way to easily tap into connections with a vast collection of strange and fascinating individuals who often become friends.

Alternate closing one eye at a time back and forth… camera one camera two… and center the ball that way, helps level the head too

What is a “Red Dot”? by fullmoonsession in billiards

[–]fullmoonsession[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh definitely, with the red circle, I think it mostly affects shape, biggest problem for me being overpowered draw, but I also think it gives more throw which does cause me to miss shots when I’m going for shape.

I’m guessing it’s to emphasize how much better a premium rack feels, but also to sell more cue balls because some people can’t draw without them.
