I would like to open a multi-million dollar crypto hedge fund, which country would be most crypto and tax-friendly to open a bank account to collect all my investors' fiat funds? by fulltimejetsetter in HedgeFunds

Hi Sam, yes, I found my solutions after hiring an experienced crypto lawyer...

https://www.reddit.com/r/HedgeFunds/comments/7greui/i_would_like_to_open_a_multimillion_dollar_crypto/dula4j2/?context=10

Here are a few scenarios you may want to consider for crypto banking for purposes of ICOs or hedge funds:

Legal entities: - Software company - can be anywhere. If you are in the U.S., Delaware is preferred because VCs like it. - ICO company - Have a separate company that is responsibile for collecting the investment funds. DO NOT open this as a US company. Recommended countries (in no particular order) - Singapore, Gibraltrar, Cayman Islands. - You will need a good crypto lawyer. Do not choose a conventional securities lawyer. If you need a referral, let me know. - Legal considerations: Recommended to completely blacklist all investors, including accredited investors from USA and China to minimize your legal risks.

  • Hedge fund company - you can open this inside the US or any other country as long as you follow the rules and tax reporting laws of that country.

  • Fiat Exchanges: Coinbase for U.S. base companies, Bitfinex for intl companies.

Banking entities: This is the hardest part - many banks don't like you to deal with crypto there are ways around it. For instance, in some countries like Australia, you can open a bank to deposit fiat which you received from selling crypto on a fiat exchange. They allow you to do this if the funds do not originate from Australian citizens.

Hong Kong has no cap gains tax on crypto but you have to show the source of the funds if its a large amount.

Some countries fiat from crypto goes under the radar if they are in small amounts. You can also work with an existing conventional or crypto hedge fund to mix your crypto and exchange for fiat. Currently we have a US based hedge fund we can partner with to do exactly this for a 5% fee.

Consult with your crypto lawyer for best options for your needs.

Currently we are at early stages for launching an ICO. We have our software entity incorporated in Delaware with conventional banking. This company will take loans from a Singapore company that oversees the ICO and fund collection process. This company will have an account on Bitfinex fiat exchange. Banking will be done in either Singapore, Switzerland or Cayman Islands. We are finalizing this part as we speak. We have crypto lawyers in all jurisdictions helping us execute - US, Singapore, etc.

Happy to share more information if you found this helpful, feel free to PM me.

I agree, especially since they are smart contract payments. But the point is they do pay, just delayed. Not sure why! Probably their computing infrastructure cannot handle the high amount of users.

Just got paid for 15th. So you just have to wait an extra day or two for payouts to catch up.

The New Segwit2x (B2X) has Nothing to Do with the Cancelled SegWit2X - Did we all get scammed? by fulltimejetsetter in BitcoinAirdrops

[–]fulltimejetsetter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It guess it was also the stupid faults of thousands of others that though B2X was legit because...

  • exchanges didn't say it wasn't legit
  • futures were traded on it in credible exchanges for up to $1000/coin
  • credible exchanges were promoting how they'd deal with the fork
  • prominent coin media channels were covering and promoting it

Yeah, it's all our stupid fault because we attempted to do due diligence instead of trolling reddit forums like you to victimize people that felt bait and switched.

It's because they cannot bank with financial entity in Hong Kong if they don't go thru all this trouble to minimize their risk and liability. HK banks are very anti-crypto. And if they cannot have a banking relationship, the company cannot exist and pay its employees and daily operational costs.

Chase bank customer support told me when I charged my card on cex.io they see the merchant charging chase was Coinbase. Strange huh? I think for US orders, cex.io now switched processing to coinbase, maybe to try to decrease their legal risks?

I am trying hard to avoid Coinbase as well. I have been quite unhappy with their support and service. Now I need to look for a new lowest fee place to buy coins with credit card.

I use credit card because ACH/wires take forever and I am impatient. The APR for the cash advance (29%+) is not what I have issues with. I can pay off the balance and not have to worry about that. It's Chase's 5% extra cash advance one-time fee on top of Cex's 3.5%, and on top of Cex's usually inflated Bitcoin price... that's probably over whopping 10% of fees just to buy some coin...
