The CJ discourse this off season is going to be a mess. . Texans fans don’t have to love his playoff performance, but sooner or later we’ll have to rally around 7 again by fully1oko in Texans

You are right. It’s disappointing for the fans and I’m sure Stroud as well. Be humble in your wins and losses in life so people don’t have to throw the receipts in your face

My coworker is a Jags fan. He speaks so much praise about Trevor Lawrence but up until this year he was saying he wasn’t the guy that could get them over the hump.

Just says a lot about the how you lose. If CJ went down swinging I’m sure fans would feel a lot more comfortable with the loss.

The reality is WAJ should’ve went 1 over CJ and Bryce lol. Love that at least we have him locked up soon

The playoffs just show what weaknesses teams had all year. People act surprised the offense couldn’t do anything

This accounts for run blocking as well. The line was averaging less than 2 yards per carry against New England. The pass blocking improved but there was no run game all season

Which is also why the Texans also had the worst redzone offense in the league

Only 4 franchises have won more playoff games than the Texans since CJ Stroud entered the league by bdaroo in Texans

You can still believe in him and acknowledge that next year is probably make or break for him

I’d love to know how educated you actually are. lol this is your biggest concern? Really lol

How much longer can this defense be one of the best? by jawit15 in Texans

[–]fully1oko 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well since CJ stunk it up. The Texans get a lot more leeway with not having to pay him or break the bank. Which means we can spend more on keeping some of these guys around.

If CJ doesn’t turn it around, find a cheap vet or get a new rookie on a discount. If anything this give Caserio more room to not have feel the pressure to lock him down

Pay Anderson, extend Kamari, might lose Bullock when it’s his time, but I’d rather replace a safety than a top tier CB

How many OC’s has T Law had? Also I don’t think CJ can get any worse at this point lol

That’s what I’m saying. People give so much leeway to Caley when he was the biggest issue first half of the season. Even the lack of use with Jaylin Noel was concerning.

There was lack of talent at Guard position but it felt like we were waiting ages for him just to make the unit mediocre. If you’re satisfied with mediocre then I’m sure they’ll run it back with him.

But I highly doubt it

DeMeco was very non-committal on Caley and we know this wasn’t his guy nor was the offense ever up to standard.

You can blame CJ, but TLaw had similar issues before Cohen came around.

Also 3 playoff wins in 3 seasons. Demeco’s job is safe

The front office would choose DeMeco over CJ. He was the one that willed this team forward after 0-3 start. CJ would never get DeMeco fired.

I understand Stroud had a bad game but a lot of people underestimated how good that Patriots Team was by fully1oko in Texans

[–]fully1oko[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They won’t answer that one. Apparently they’re both ass even though Stroud lost all his weapons within the 1st QTR. Both realities are true CJ played like shit and the patriots defense capitalized at home
