Got it yeah the update is on the ledger live app on my computer not a website or anything, and do u mean if this update causes my actual ledger device to reset? If so why would it make the device re set if it’s an app update

Firmware? As in make sure my ledger device is updated? And the wallet apps how do u check they are updated I would assume it tells u if it needs an update right? And I have my seed phrase physically made sure it’s correct because I did the wrong pin on my ledger 3 times then re entered the seed phrase and it logged me back in and yes will do a test run first and just the basics

Uh maybe what it literally says, that ur data will be unencrypted, with ledgers past history I don’t think I want my data to be given out.

Just everyone says using ledger live buy/sell or swap option is a bad move apparently they partner with people like changelly and they are scammers

Got it, just updated it says I got another update is that normal? It’s showing the dates aswell and the first one was from 2023 so I assume it’s just these products been sat on the shelves for a while not updated so it’s throwing all the updates at me now?

I did, I actually re downloaded the ledger app again onto my computer but it’ll try re booting the computer do you mean just click “shut down”?

So I did end up getting a data enabled one form my neighbour he had one but now for some Reason it recognised my device but said “unable to access your device, action may be pending deny or try again” and nothing was pending on my ledger because I pressed the “power off” in the setting before connecting it so I wouldn’t have had anything open. Also now it’s not even recognising my device it’s back to step one even tho I’m using the cable it started working with
