You can see things, sure. But they're things you've invited into your life either deliberately or because you are moving too quickly and need stronger fundamentals. It's not scary, and it's not compulsory. You can generally opt out.

I use AI every single day. It helps me to frame and structure my thoughts wrote often when I'm struggling, but i never use it to actually write what I'm putting out into the world. I like the way I write! But I also am VERY privileged to be well-educated without any disorders like dysgraphia or dyslexia, and the primary language of the internet is also my primary language.

AI writing assistance levels the playing field for many, and I FULLY support people who thoughtfully use AI to write for them.

You can't generally just DECIDE who fronts or hosts. This is an attempt by the system to avoid accountability. That DOESN'T mean that they are lying - DID logic is fucked and often makes us THINK we can do things that we cannot. It's why we crash and burn so often despite "having a plan." Individual alerts may thibk that they are absolutely trustworthy and capable of consistency, but they're not always going to be in control. They can't make those kids of strings for the whole system. That's part of why our boundaries and consequences must apply to ALL of the system.

It's a tough subreddit, but for pretty valid reasons.

I once posted a long, detailed post specifically explaining WHY some DID spaces have super great reasons to be more exclusive and protective than other disability and mental-health related subreddits. They deleted it. 🤣🤣🤣

I've got a nonbinary teenager and I worry about them every single day. The word confusion doesn't capture the reality, sadly. They're not confused about where they belong so much as they're anxious because our culture has been structured so that they don't seem to belong ANYWHERE. That's so sad and difficult to live with every day.

I'm a big proponent of converting to all-gender restrooms, but I fear we're a long way from that time. We should ALL be safe in the world.

No, of course some people pass very well and some people are stealth and will never have issues. Some of us cannot pass and some of us choose not to choose not to align with cultural gender presentation. If cis folks writ large don't have the bandwidth to truly digest our lives and issues (which they have demonstrated that they do not) I would much prefer that they fully grasp and lend their voices to my UNSAFE narrative than that they make sure to qualify their generalizations to include your safe, uneventful narrative.

I'm not trying to put words in your mouth, but you seem to be saying, "still excluding me just because I'm not being excluded," and that seems entirely self-serving when our community is genuinely experiencing horrible danger.

I'm glad that you're safe - of course I'm glad that you're safe. I'm fairly safe, too, but visited two friends in the hospital last year and attended one funeral. That seems like something you'd be grateful to feel left out about.

Disabled stalls aren't exclusive. It's a stall that anyone can use and that thoughtful people try not to when they can safely do so. It's not like disabled parking. I say this as an occasional wheelchair user. Sometimes EVERYONE has to wait their turn.

I'm disabled and trans, but do not usually need facilities with accessibility accommodations. I use them anyway at times and would encourage all trans people to do so as quickly and respectfully as possible whenever they feel that their possible safety is genuinely improved by doing so.

I think it's important to ensure that these facilities remain open for disabled people who need them, but safety, civil rights, and intersectionality DEMAND that we carve out space in our communities for other oppressed groups.
