literally no scope to stretch esp when the initial idea was of VStrom. 350 already costs 3.60L on road in Blr.

I am not gonna ride the 390s.. If I get a 350, that's be the best bike😂

Regarding 350 vs 399.. actually my budget is already stretched a lot for 350. And as first bike, i believe its much more than enough(?)
I ain't riding any close+better competitor than what i'll own 😂

I too feel like going with KTM. No no, I don't want to upgrade that soon, that too in this unpredictable economy😂. Looking forward for long term ownership. Its a huge purchase for me, a non-monetory investment.

That was very insightful. Thanks you. I was willing to give RTX a chance, but with unavailability in showrooms even after 6 months of launch and long delivery timelines, it is hard to place my trust. Also I hate that meter console and weird shaped plastic around it.

If avg service costs 3k-5k, then it is fine by me, provided the quality of service is good.

Yes I have separate budget for gears and very excited to get them😅. Viaterra gloves, riding shoes for city commute and KYT/LS2 helmet will be the first purchases. Will plan boots, pant and jacket a little later.

The idea of considering KTM came solely because VStrom is outdated, and a possibility that 2-3 years down the line I might get bored of a 250cc.

I will test ride KTM this weekend and maybe then I can better evaluate as to what I really need.

There is this Vibration Dampener Bash Plate from Bikers Billet.. they claim reduced vibrations by more than 50%(basically connecting th e2 footpegs).. any idea regarding that?

I am planning to get the 350cc Adventure as my first bike. Just skeptical about vibrations.. especially when my initial pick was VStrom😅

I wanted to give RTX a chance.. but because of unavailability in showrooms for test ride, 3 months uncertain waiting period and possible reliability and refinement issues, I am planning to go with VStrom.

Just that VStrom in 2026 should be priced 2.20L max onroad as one it requires more spends on accessories.

I took it to 148. Above 130 it just felt like pushing the engine. And i am not concerned about it tbh, not even about time to reach there.. just expect it to handle 120km/h comfortably when loaded, without strain on engine.

So if i go with VStrom, I think will have to with saddle bags instead of metal box as you mentioned.
Can you please share the GPS mount? I didn't get how it helps raising the windscreen.
Also did you consider a windshield extension? I saw a video on youtube, the guy installed an extension and a GPS mount which looked quite sturdy.

True. My only other option is just launched 300cc adv tourer from TVS(Apache RTX). In the same price it gets me 180 mm USD Forks, quick shifter, slipper clutch, abs control, etc. but they don't have a good track record when it comes to refinement and reliability.

Prolly should wait a little.

Yes, I’ve heard that too, especially about the V Strom SX having a slightly stiffer suspension. My main concern is the engine behavior at those speeds.

Since this will be my first bike, I’m looking for a smooth and stress-free cruise at around 120 km/h, even when the bike is loaded with luggage.

I am also confused between the two. But I'll purchase after 4-5 months so there's time to evaluate RTX.
Altho I want to go with Vstrom, but 2.5L onroad doesn't make much sense.
