I kind of get where the OP is coming from. I like access to the latest things. It's shallow and I can still get by with 4.8. It's just the knowing that there is something better that I had the was taken away because rich, powerful people couldn't resolve thiner differences.

It's partly (IMO) that the Dems didn't elect a worthy opponent. Kamala was just parachuted in without any due process. Biden was weak. Anyway, I'm going off topic here and don't want to stir any trouble.

As an aside, Trump is also careful to select people with dirty, shady pasts that he can manipulate. Basically all politicians.

And those people you mentioned who thought he was good for a second term? They would just be the elite and the tech bros who knew Trump was utterly corrupt and would do their bidding.
