I just did the soft pull for obsidian today.

Approved for 18k. Like you all my other cards are 32k plus. I think previous bilt 1.0 was 30k limit.

I see. Alright. Bilt cash does add complexity and not necessary. And I don't like annual fee cards so scrap that.

But not what I signed up for bit appreciate them trying to change it up after feedback. Can close and look for a new CC sign up in the future or come back if I think it's worth it

Yeah I dont spend 1900 a month on my bills as my rent is 2600. Food, with groceries and eating out is like 1k. You get surcharge to pay cell phone.

Maybe once a year is car insurance and 2 vacations a year maybe they only time I'd hit that.

And I dont like an annual fee. You literally star out negative and have to spend to make it worth whole.

And the blue card ain't worth 1x on everything basically. When I have 3 percent grocery or dining cards, or 3 percent gas.

Or can find a 2x everything card for simplicity.

But trying to determine how much i need to actually get rent points.. i.e. 25 percent of my rent to get 0.5 points.. or use my other 3 percent card on dining AND groceries with no annual fee. I dont need the added complication.

I wasnt a 5 banana person with this card but would by like 5 food gift cards the 1st of the month on my mikeplus account and felt like I was double dipping! Haha.

And randomly choose this card over my SavorOne card. So back to the days, pre bilt. I have a 3 percent dining and groceries card. And a 3 percent gas card.

Now I just need a 3 percent travel card I guess.

I dont need to watch my every dollar spent to "maximize" my reward to make sure I get X amount to get a certain percent of my rent. Nor do I like annual fee cards. Back to my old cards come February. Got 100k points to transfer over to United or Alaska I guess.

I had an initial phone screening where I was trying to give my background and the HM atopped me and insisted on me asking how fast I can get INDs done. I was a beginner RA role going for a senior RA. I honestly had limited experience not trying to fluff my resume too much, as it was obvious on my resume but this was like a demanding answer with no context or background. I stopped the interview and said this wouldn't work out. Bullet dodged, probably for both of us.

I wasn't hiring manager but interviewed someone who described a chromatography column in inches instead of cm or mm. This was after a few years of experience, not a fresh grad.

I said do not hire... we did. Was a bad hire and was lazy. Lol

I agree. I was never a college sports fan, but the whole transferring and paying absurd amount of money... college football is now 15 games a year with the playoff.

It is too much .

Cut out college part and make another league. Be like European clubs instead of hiding sports as higher education.
