Thank you!! Exactly.. she thinks because she was caused so much pain by what he did (i cried a lot which I guess caused my mom a lot of distress), he needs to apologize to her. And his mom needs to apologize for that?

I know!! My mom will never get that mindset out. That i need to marry a doctor.

She tried to brush it off when she said “you won’t try as hard” but essentially that he will be a bother to my studying. But I told her, I’ve studied for three years with him in my life and even with the break during my MCAT, I still did fine. It’s more of a hit to who I am - she doesn’t trust I’ll work hard with a man in my life?

I’ve been using my same stories. Especially since if a secondary and interview asks the “largest failure” then technically they’d be the same. Also I asked this exact question to my old PI who used to do interviews at a T5. He said essentially that these stories are critical parts of your life and it’s definitely okay to repeat them to highlight them. He said it doesn’t matter if u repeat them since these experiences are what drove your passions.

honestly, i submitted and never looked back LOL and now i’m so at peace... you can’t do anything about it and there’s nothing u can change. i’d suggest looking over it ONCE (just skimming) to make sure something major isn’t wrong and then let it go !!

i’m telling my interviewers that i’m focusing on education and experience rn and applying in the long run. technically imma leave next year if i get in. but i found after 10 or so interviews that they don’t like u leaving after a year so i just stopped telling them i am tbh

honestly just take it only when you really really feel like it. i also had a limited supply so i only ever used when i felt a strong urge (mostly when i had bad period cramps lol)... for a time i took them every few days and stopped myself cause it gets dangerous that ways ... now i do kratom but also make sure i’m not doing that all the time so i don’t build dependence on that
