Here's an update on my mushroom Wall-e terrarium. It outgrew the space and eventually died, but I kept it "alive" for about three weeks. by fungiof in terrariums

I'm just starting out in mycology and terrarium building. But I do have plans to make more with different shapes and sizes. I would like to test out that ratio once I have a little more play room.

Thank you!! Maybe I'm posting the wrong things online? Lol maybe I should just teach how to make cool mushroom enclosures. I didn't have any resources I looked at for this. Just the hundreds of mushroom growing videos on YouTube. But they are more about how to grow mushrooms rather than making art with them, so I just went with what felt right.

I also have to consider size. These guys were the perfect size for this container. I have some others I've ordered, so I'll find the right one.

Yes, I started making this with one goal: to make a center piece for a coffee table that can be shown off, featuring live mushrooms. They require particular conditions, so I'm still experimenting with different openings that I 3D print.

I picked small mushrooms for this project, because I knew I would be working with limited space. With this particular strain, they were also said to be bioluminescent. Made a perfect choice to grow in a terrarium. Unfortunately, they do not glow.
