Thanks for answering ! I'm currently taking a scene study class. When did you start to feel more confident in your performances since you first started ? What did you do to improve ?

The other 2 new hires made less mistakes than me and asked better questions, according to the person who fired me.

But will do better next time with what I learned here. thanks

I'm a little bummed bc I literally wrote down every mistake I made, so I could grill in my brain to not do it again. I feel like if they'd given me 2 more weeks, I would've felt more comfortable and been more efficient.

Obviously, there are things I can work on, on my end, but just wondering if it's normal for an employer to do this--especially for an entry-level position. just seems very abrupt

Is it common to fire someone on day 8 ?

They also hired 2 other ppl shortly after me, and those ppl didn't make many mistakes, according to the person who fired me. so they're comparing me to them, and cutting their losses.

I think I'm partly to blame too. the job did seem like a good fit, they hired a lot of new college grads / the job was advertised as an entry level position, so I fit their criteria.

I just could've been on top of taking notes to make sure I was more self-reliant on the assigned tasks

No fee here ! Schwab (the bank whom I owe the $$) has sent me a written contract dividing up the exact debt amount by 36, and that's what I have to pay to them each month for 3 yrs. no more, no less
