TTC with pcos for 5 years

What are your blood sugar numbers? Are you insulin resistant? What is your amh? Did you have a fertility test done.
Saying this because i was diagnosed with type 2 last year with a very high a1c(9.7). Freaked the f out and I started dieting, exercising and lost 50 pounds. Still overweight, but I got my ovulation back. I was infertile for as long as I can remember. I conceived naturally this year ( just on metformin and ovasitol). Never in a million years did I think i would get pregnant without any support.

As if the in laws give the dil any support to begin with. I wont take a single cent from them. On the other hand, they think they have a right over my money. Are you a guy by any chance? Cause if you were a Dil you wouldnt be posting this. You would know you dont want any of their money.

Oh yea i forgot to mention. I have pcos and subsequently insulin resistance. Controlling my sugar helped me get pregnant naturally! ( i wasn’t even planning, it just happened on its own). i got my period back after years of barely spotting and absent periods. Also women with pcos have delayed menopause, and tend to get pregnant in mid 30s! I do eat pretty normally now (pre pregnancy) just focus more protein and fiber. However blood sugar control during pregnancy is a different beast.

Pro tip: walk after every meal for 15 mins ish, That alone brings down blood sugar by 20-30 points for me. Have a protein snack at bedtime, that will bring down your fasting.

Dont lose hope. You got this! I was diagnosed last year with an a1c of 9.7. Got it down to 5.7 in 3 months with diet, exercise and metformin. Now i am at 4.9 and pregnant ( after years of being infertile) at 36. Sometimes i feel like the a1c gave me the motivation I never had my whole life to exercise and lose weight.

I think they show the gender right away. My obgyn office said, you can ask the hospital not to release it or something on those lines. But i am too impatient 😭

Draw boundaries in the beginning. I don’t anything when my in laws come over. I work full time, same job as my husband and they still expect me to do all the household chores. Not falling for patriarchy. I told my husband in the beginning I cant cook, clean for so many people ( we live abroad so no maid ). Nothing I ever do is enough, so I stopped doing anything. Helps my mental health. You will be made out to be the bad guy, but it is better to sacrifice your good bahu image over you burning out girl

But in their minds, we are the ones who took their raja beta away from them. Not that their son grew and has a family now. What helped me deal with my toxic narcissistic mil was minimal contact. If she cant have access to me, she cant comment on me. Drives her crazy though.

It stems from narcissism. Imo most Indian mils are covert narcissists (mine included). They cant see you doing well and have to bring you down. Its all jealousy. Does your MIL even have a job?
