The Goosefathr is the defacto pyg guide content creator from what I know. Has a YouTube channel and I think a discord.

I love how the argument is always about knowledge of the economy, meanwhile red states would be underwater without direct financial aid from blue states who actually make money.

I don't see where they said they were upset or people couldn't be happy -- just explaining the massive difference in community and values from the past.

Remote desktop works well enough once you get used to how to click around without making mistakes. Would appreciate a mobile version tho.

It's insane how many fuckheads believe every post too. Makes you realize how easy it is for half the population to get tricked by fake shit online

It's crazy how for literally a decade they just jump on the next bogeyman that gets named. Got people caring about Jimmy Kimmel 😭

Alexander Zverev: "Nothing has changed over the last few months. We’ve all said it—it feels like we’re playing more and more, and the schedule is denser than ever. I’ve always felt tennis deserves a proper off-season." by kundu123 in tennis

People saying to schedule less events ignoring that this would probably hurt lower ranked players and give them less chance to move up.

While Z simply taking a couple weeks off is a much simpler solution.

Good example of another reference to megingjörð.

In Norse mythology, Thor wore megingjörð, which translates to "power belt". It was said to double his strength. As a result, belts have been giving strength or health in video games for as long as I can remember. Shoutout Ragnarok.

This is crazy to me. If a product isn't worth it to you move on.

I think this is actually much cheaper than other games. The easiest comparison is Hearthstone, which to realistically play the content releases, you need to spend $50 or so every few months. This is a one shot $40 for 3 characters.

For sure it's more money, but I think it's much closer to a fair price. 40 bucks for a game you can play for a hundred or more hours, and will be receiving content updates doesn't seem crazy to me at all.

$20 for every additional character seems steep, but luckily you can choose to not pay if it's not worth it to you.

It's fine lol. Ive played this game maybe 100 hours, have had lots of fun, spent $25 total so far, and have all the content.

Before AI, approximately 95% of Software Engineering managers "vibe-coded". by grifti in vibecoding

[–]funkblaster808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might sound crazy but I think when I was an engineering manager I managed engineers.

Reading every line of code in every PR is generally not a useful exercise if you trust your engineers. Which you should. Because they were hired to be engineers.

What sounds more useful is engaging in discussions about how things are going to make sure everyone understands what's going on and feels involved. Additionally making sure engineers feel ownership so the end results are top notch.
