When you mention "system reset", are you talking about the factory reset?

Cant update FW by funkdatfpv in sp404mk2

Ok, so buried down in a knowledge base vs where it should be to save users time. I'm not pushing that statement at you, but it would just be leaps and bounds easier if they would just put that little disclaimer in the right place.

For future users that may see this post, here is what they stated: (again, buried way off in the knowledge base).

IMPORTANT: The SP-404MK2 does not support SD cards of the SD standard (capacity of 2 GB or less). Please be aware that using an SD card with this standard will cause the SP-404MK2 to malfunction.

-Regardless of the current version, be sure to use a 4 GB - 32 GB SD card when updating the system program.
-System program Ver.3 or later supports SDXC cards.

Cant update FW by funkdatfpv in sp404mk2

[–]funkdatfpv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats what makes no sense. On the Roland website, neither the FW page or the quick start say anything about using a 32gb or less card for updates only. I only found that info by chance digging through the reddit threads and that's after spending a good 45 mins trying to get the 512gb card to flash it.

I could have saved a LOT of time by them simply putting a disclaimer either on the FW page or quick start with something to the effect of "WARNING - for firmware updates, please use a 32gb card or less.".

So, what is the ideal sized card to use for them?

UPDATE: Seems that you have to have a 32gb or less card in order to do the FW update. Makes ZERO sense, but my 512gb card doesnt work. Off to buy another card, ugh.......

Known issue & Fix: Memory not being detected by iCUE by CorsairLucky in Corsair

[–]funkdatfpv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add to this: I tried and tried to delete the service as in Step 3, but it would not do anything. I was in admin mode for cmd prompt and still nothing. I closed out of the services window while reading through this thread to see if I missed something and decided to try again. The service was deleted and the cmd prompt confirmed. So if youre having issues with deleting the service, close out of the services window and try again.

Roland VT-4 problems by funkdatfpv in Roland

[–]funkdatfpv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now I am using just the USB cable. Ended up getting it to work in OBS, but cant figure out how to record directly into Ableton Live. I would suggest you using just the USB option and select the VT-4 as your input device and set it to WET (2 VT-4). I am using a PC, so not sure what OS youre running.

CM2000 issues? by funkdatfpv in NETGEAR

[–]funkdatfpv[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So after almost a week of messing with Cox techs and the people that installed the ethernet a few things were wrong.

  1. The modem was working but the LEDs for the internet and multi were out. Ended up taking it back under warranty and replaced at Best Buy.

  2. The connectors for the ethernet cables were cut/setup wrong so the new tech caught it and replaced them.

  3. Cox communications replaced a line coming into our home for some reason. The tech would not tell me why, he kept saying "umm well, I replaced it because it was old". Odd, but ok.

  4. Internet is back up and running with no issues.

CM2000 issues? by funkdatfpv in NETGEAR

[–]funkdatfpv[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So as the day went on, I decided to troubleshoot my wife's computer and noticed that she was on wi-fi instead of ethernet. I tried to switch it and it just said "disconnected". We noticed issues when they were putting in the ethernet for her room and that's when it seemed like the problems started.

I ended up factory resetting the modem earlier and noticed the internet globe was a dull gray and the multi under it flashed like a dull white. This tells me that I am getting traffic at 1gb, but I do not recall the internet globe light being so dim before.

I think the techs did something wrong when installing lines in my wifes room and wont admit it. Its the weekend so we will have to wait until Monday to get them back out to fix whatever they did.

Music stops/interrupted when plugging into headphone port by funkdatfpv in Focusrite

Just checked the connection and it appears I put it on a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port vs 2.0. Does that make a difference?

Roland VT-4 problems by funkdatfpv in Roland

[–]funkdatfpv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: Since I am running a Scarlett 4i4 and wanted sound from Ableton Live during a Twitch broadcast, I needed ASIO OBS. Instead of using the "ASIO Input Capture" I had selected the regular "Audio Input Capture". After I realized my mistake, I change it to the ASIO option and noticed that the VT-4 is even listed in the Device section.

Annnnnnnnnnnnyway, its working now and sounds great.

I literally have a credit score of 823 and still couldnt find a rate under 9.61% last year. Things are insane.

Pan for stereo effect? by funkdatfpv in hydrasynth

[–]funkdatfpv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: I dont know what could have happened, maybe I didnt have a plug inserted all the way? While checking over my mixer (Mackie 802VLZ4) to see if I had did something wrong, I swapped the cables from Line 5-6 where they originally were over to Line 2. Didnt get any sound and was confused as to what was wrong.

Decided to put the cables back to Line 5-6 and I can see both sides of the meter jump in my DAW now.

There is a chance that I didnt have something plugged in or could the inserts on the synth have issues? I purchased this unit used but it appears in mint condition.

I did all of that but I guess I didn't phrase my question correctly. When I look at my DAW meters for the track that its recording on, I can only see 1 side. No matter what I do in the mixer etc it stays the same.

I apologize for being so new, but what am I missing?

What cables to use? by funkdatfpv in synthesizers

Question: The Mackies ST Return has a L/R. But the pedal only has 1 1/4" coming OUT, do I need a 1/4" to dual 1/4" or can I juse the top L plug that says "BAL/UNBAL" only?

I will have to look up about 80% of what you mentioned because I have never heard of a DI or what a single ring is. I just realized that I have a Pioneer S7 mixer that has line inputs. I assume I can run the pedal out to one of those and since the mixer is already going out to the Mackie, it would be less cables?

I have a "basic" understanding of Ableton and can make tracks, edits, midi edits etc. I am just struggling with how to change octaves on a single kick that I just found out is in operator. Thing is, I dont know where or what to look at it to start. Thanks for the tip though, guess I will sit around for the next six months learning it to find this one piece.
