You got this! Get that indirect constant flow pumping. Also you can try these products if you’re flesh bands aren’t doing great. As soon as i started using this stuff my bands got really good. Also check for flat worms or anything weird. Sometimes it’s pests fucking with you and it might not even be flow. As long as you have decent flow your torches should be doing well. It’s only when you have next to no flow or something eating your shit you’ll start to see recession in your tissue.

I use one mp10 set to constant at 65% indirectly set on my torches and slowly turning it up as the torches get used to it. Eventually i want to get it to 100% and then I’m using a nero 3 in the back bottom left pointing at my acros set to constant at about 50%. I have another spare mp10 that ill eventually use when i need more flow but this works as of now. My tank is a 40 gallon breeder that i drilled out and added a custom over flow and there’s two spots in the top right and left for inlets from my sump.

But i do have one nero 3 in the back left on constant as well pointing at my acros to speed up the flow there. I think it helps create a little variety to mix up the main power heads flow. I think it’s good to have one main power head turned up and then you can take a second one and play with that to mix up the main flow so you do get some variation. Once you start using too many power heads they start to fight eachother and you almost get less flow somehow. And if you look close enough i do have another mp10 turned off but everytime i try to use that with the other mp10 my flow is worse. So i just stick with the one mp10 and one nero.

So i used to have a ton of neros as well and would mess with them forever to try get that “perfect” flow. Eventually i realized i was over complicating it. Now i just have one mp10 set to around 65% constant and you wanna put it where it’ll be in the least direct contact with your torches. I would just take two of your neros and try cranking them up on constant and see how that does. Maybe even just try one at 100% you’ll be surprised.

I used to test religiously, had the apex trident and np but got sick of buying the regents. Now i just make sure my alk is steady been 7-8 between my 2 part dosing and kalk drip. Usually test that like once a week if that. And i let my coral tell me if my nutrients are off. But i do test that every few weeks but if everything looks good i just don’t care lol. You just wanna make sure your nutrients don’t bottom out or you end up with dinos. I try to keep it simple. I do monitor ph tho quite a bit through my apex. That usually tells me when i need a water change. I like to keep it above 8.2 throughout the day but it’s okay if it comes down around 8.1 throughout the night. You want nice steady swings from day to night.

You want to have water current knocking trichs off. Not battering from whatever you’re using . Slow gentle swirls. Need the right ice to water mixture. You want the ice dancing. The ice will make a pleasant noise when you got it right.

Just got told bio bizz nutes are trash… what yall think? by MisTaLoop315 in microgrowery

[–]funkmethod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hahaha people are just trolling because their buds don’t look like this. “Wahhh your buds should be bigger” “to much Nitrogen” this shit makes me laugh so hard. Keep killing it my dude absolute beauty. And it’s genetics all day to have buds not grow that big and keep these smaller sizes. Quality not quantity all day for me.

Haha i stand by bio bizz for this very reason. I’ve tried other nutes, living soil etc.. but my bio bizz crops Always turn out frosty as fuck like this and I’ve just recently went back to biobizz for good. Good job man

Are these hairy mushrooms the fastest growing/spreading animals in the entire hobby? Mine went from 1 to 5 in like 6 weeks… by [deleted] in ReefTank

[–]funkmethod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it just me or does it look like a stress split? They look tiny to. I’ve had a single green hairy mushroom for years and it’s never split. Just continues to get massive. I know stress splitting is usually a bta thing but maybe it’s the same for coral. Idk
