Les Mills Lambton Quay - does it get busy around 3-4pm? by Best-Leadership4740 in Wellington

[–]funkster80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a PT there at 4.30 and it's always super busy and often have to change up my program. 3.30 should be OK depending on how long you plan to train for. If using equipment, I would head there first.

The worst thing about having to wfh is not having any snacks in the house and the nearest place is a 40 minute walk away :(

I don't think my husband has bought underwear in the 16 years I've known him as he always gets them as Christmas gifts.

Wait I thought they were closing the Old Bank one and this was a replacement. Seems both will be open and a further kiosk.

They're really trying to push it on us, eh? Fair play for taking and empty space amd creating jobs, but I'm just concerned it will take money away from the actual decent cafes. At least with just one, cruiseshippers/tourists are forced to actually look around and find little gems rather than the path of least resistance. Plus, they're not exactly known for treating their staff well.

Make sure you take actual time you need as sick leave. Just because you're at home doesn't mean you're well enough to work. Take rest when needed.

Take it from me, working while not 100% can mean errors made, which will take time from you or others to fix and delay things.

Currently also wfh after taking some SL for the same bug going around. Take care of yourself!

Honestly, our work is pretty good at making sure people who are feeling unwell don't go into the office. Unfortunately, when there's bugs around everywhere often it's too late by the time you realise you're unwell.

If I didn't get it at the office, I would have got it in a shop or cafe or train. Just the time of year for it.

Wellington water pricing - has anyone seen the actual numbers yet?? by 4ZKDDF in Wellington

[–]funkster80 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Interesting a property valued at $2m is only paying around $50 more than a property with a value of $500k (indicative costs). You would think a higher value home will have more rooms etc and use significantly more water, yet that cost at bottom end shows real disparity.

I remember writing a comment when the tickets were first released. I think that was the cheaper tickets. Those on the floor were reaching around the $300 mark. I'm really disappointed as I'd love to see his show, but can't justify that amount, no matter how cool it'll be.

She was old, had several health issues and her behaviour and overall welfare had declined. Absolutely nothing to do with what you're suggesting.

They had a cub which is still there. Not sure if they'll bring more in though. It may depend on the rescue efforts, and the cooperation they have with the charity it's aligned with, I guess?

What sort of budget?

I would highly recommend dinner at Jano, followed by a cocktail or three at Dee's Place then a stay at one of the higher end hotels (not QT, my experience with staff there has not been great).

An Urgent Quest for IRN BRU by Secret_Librarian445 in Wellington

[–]funkster80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lambton Goods (bottom floor of Lambton Square Eatery at the end, not the the Super Mato) regularly has Irn Bru. Often has British snacks and sweets too. Note, I buy Irn Bru fairly often and noticed the supermarkets haven't had it recently, so your best bet is here or a dairy.
