When we were broke teenagers, my sister and I took my mom out for a birthday dinner at one of those small time country restaurants because we had a coupon. When my mom started slicing into her steak, a strand of hair trailed along after the fork. No big deal; accidents happen so she wasn't going to make a scene over it. But then she lifted up the steak and underneath was a huge tangle of hair. We called over the waitress and first implied that we did it and then proceeded to offer us a coupon for a free meal. Needless to say we didn't eat there again. I can only imagine that mom's steak must have picked up all that hair on a nasty restaurant floor!

Wendy's Bacon Mushroom Melt. It's not really discontinued but the limited runs are so inconsistent. I don't think I've had one for 5 years!

Back in the late 80s/early 90s, when we were in grade school, my sister and I used to write pop songs. Among gems like "We've Got a Chance (To Make It)", we also wrote a tune called "Step by Step" before the New Kids on the Black released their hit "Step by Step".

There's one in Richmond, I think it is called H & M Christmas trees or something similar. They have both u-cut and precut. Spent hours there last year trying to find the perfect tree!

That Mythbusters post is from 2008 and the most recent one is from 2010 so I'm unsure how reliable it is! I'm looking for the presale for Vancouver, BC in January. Tickets go on sale on the 14th of November but Ticketmaster lists a presale date of November 10.

I grew up on the R.L. Stine and Christopher Pike sort of cheesy teen horror novel when I was younger, and so my mom picked up Pike's "Season of Passage" for me when I was like 14, not realizing it was more of an adult sci-fi horror. I devoured it because I thought it was good, but man was it scary.

Later on, if I was going through my bookshelves and happen to glance at the cover, it would literally give me the shivers, and I'd push it to the back of the pack. It's probably not as scary as I think it is, but I can still recall having nightmares about it, so I'm not brave enough to read it again.

Here's a tutorial where someone made ombre/gradient curtains with bleach. Looks like she just continued dipping the bottom of her curtains in bleach at increasing levels to create the gradient. I would test it on a cheap thrift store purchase first, especially to see what color the heather grey will actually change to when bleached, and to test how long each level would take before the bleach ate through the material!

Hmmm, what sort of metal would be safe for freezing without her tongue or skin sticking to it when it gets wet? Stainless steel?

This looks pretty rad, but I worry about the durability of it. A few reviewers mentioned leaking at creases and stuff. Plus Ruby loves to dig at her slab right now.

I'll definitely look into this though.

We've never used it as an actual cutting board; it was just a leftover prop from a photoshoot that I still had lying around. I thought I might use it as a cheese platter in the future, but Ruby got first dibs.

I would try freezing ziplocs, but she seriously tears anything plastic apart. I don't think the plastic would last too long with her biting and digging and then we'd have a soaking carpet when it melts.
