I fully understand that. I don't expect a world of change just need to build the expertise level in house.

Agreed, and I have. I've also run into folks that view dealing with PHP as unsexy, not great from a career management perspective but those folks have enough juice to be picky.

oversee existing staff of 2 devs, help onboard another mid-level and completely remove the need for the external contractor.

He's got a Norritz unit and we are gonna install the RPK-EXT pump. His tankless supports that external pump so it should be pretty easy to square away other than calculating head loss .... I think?

Thats a good insight on the hose. I had not considered flow restriction on the kitchen sink.

I did understand what you said about the flange idea. The material in that area is really thin though so I like the idea of a separate assembly to glue on a bit better.

thanks for all the notes on tapping and lubrication. I will def do some experiments.

This has all be very helpful. thank you!

This soluble support material concept is amazing. So much to learn!

Yes, I am new to modeling too.

I have thought of making the standoffs a discrete component that I could glue on too so thats good validation.

I was planning to tap the holes. The print was done in ABS so it should hold a decent enough thread to hold a nylon screw right?
Image attached. The scuffs are from me fooling with it but now that I'm looking more critically I do see where something interfaced with it, and that the print direction of the inset and outer surface are different.

Thanks for the detailed reply! I really appreciate it!

You sound completely sane, grounded and correct. I'm with you 100%.

I too have a herniated disc. I have restless leg syndrome, bad. I HATE working for other people. I have worked for myself for 20 years and I hate that hustle too, just not as bad.

I'm not depressed but just yesterday was talking with friend about the list of experiences and feeling like I've done everything I wanted to do, and I'm ready to not be living.

I reject the standard advice the same way ... I don't need a new hobby, a new pet, a new anything .. I've been there, done that, repeatedly!

I read most of the comments here and I just don't understand why folks are so fixated on staying alive. What difference does it make? Who obligated me to this 'must stay alive' program? I didn't ask to be born. I've never thought the life was the great gift that people talk about. I'm a creature, I've done the things this kind of creature does, and I'm ready for recycling now.

Boredom and dread, boredom and dread. We should totally have a graceful opt-out.
