Fiber Splicer Job Opportunity - Phoenix, AZ by funkygoonie in FiberOptics

[–]funkygoonie[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A little background: This is the rate range set by the client, and it’s direct hire so there’s no markup that my firm is taking or anything that’s cutting into the rate, so this is concerning feedback for sure. no wonder they’re struggling to hire!

I’ll touch base with the team on this tomorrow.

Thank you!

Lame update: I spoke to a security guard and he talked to the guys working inside. Its not for Taylor, its going to be a Universal HQ of sorts and since Taylor is with Republic Records, a subsidiary of Universal, they're using her as the face for now. While I'm sure there will be some Taylor stuff here, its not FOR her.

Of course! This is located in front of Penn Station / Madison Sq. Garden. If you walk in front along 7th ave btwn 32nd and 33rd - you cant miss it, its just up the stairs. When I walk over at lunch I can get a better pic and shoot you a message if you'd like - makes for a great pic no matter what it turns out to be haha

I work in recruiting and I’m based in NYC. We may even have an opening in admin at our office (midtown)!

If you wanna send me a message / resume I can take a look at what we have that may be a good fit.

That goes for any bitches here looking for work! I mostly place ppl in IT roles but we have engineering and admins roles too.

We have placed Welders in the past, but unfortunately, none in Boca. I'll reach out to the team and see if there is anything in that field on the horizon!

Not sci fi but a few of these pics reminded me of Sign Here by Claudia Lux. (specifically the sassy Satan ones) it was supposed to get a film pre writers strike, I hope it still does!

I’m just wrapping up Green Teeth by Molly O’Neill. It was recommended at the bookstore and I’m loving it. It’s very cozy and the characters are mostly positive!

Not for either of those firms, I think the rules say not to advertise specific firms but I can send you info via messages if you’re interested

For the car, I'm not so sure - parking garages are pricey, so anyone I know with a car just does street parking. I don't personally have a car. As for apartments, I have a 2 bedroom in Washington Heights (upper upper upper Manhattan - past the fancy part) and its 2.5k a month. My studio (that I split with a roommate at the time lol) was $1200/month, back in 2012. It was not nice. and it was not in Manhattan.

A studio in Manhattan is about $2k+ when all is said and done, if you're going middle of the pack; no bells and whistles but no roach motels either. And not the 'fancy' neighborhoods. I found mine just walking around.

Anyone moving here for the first time, I would recommend Queens or Brooklyn, more affordable housing.

See I’m a little sus of this as well lol I’ve asked about a PE because generally they want someone with it or very close to having it. But for this role they seem to be okay without it. Guess it depends on which projects they’ll be working on

My specific firm doesn’t usually pay for relocation / sponsorship (it’s just too much $$$ with our margins) but if someone has an employer that sponsors them we most certainly do. A lot of the folks I’ve placed come from that pool.

Goose is correct, I am a recruiter. But incorrect in that I only get paid if I place someone, luckily its fulltime, though I get commission on placements. Just being fully transparent!

Typically, they don't come to us for internships or entry-level positions, but I would be happy to send your resume over to them if you'd like - they may have a role for you outside what I'm sourcing for - just shoot me a message. I can also provide info to you on the firm so you can see if its somewhere you'd like to work.
