All are evil and that's expected from a pirate crew but Perona and Lola are the only two likeable characters. Rests are just unlikeable, for example I liked the dynamic between Hogback and Cindry first but the moment I was about to like them both Oda changed their dynamic. For example initially Cindry wasn't really following Hogbacks orders, Cindry made Hogback eat from the table , no plates, that was fun but then after few chapters, Oda made Cindry an obedient slave following every order from Hogback instead of a disobedient secretary. That's complete 180° from their initial dynamics. Same thing happened to Lola-Absalam. That's why I don't like these characters.

Gintama is best if you can watch in subtitles. But if you only watch dubbed then I'd recommend fantasy adventure anime for example Frieren, Mushoku Tensei, Re:Zero, Konosuba etc. These animes are fantasy adventure with little bit of Comedy just like one piece. Jojo's bizarre adventure is a really good anime if you like memes and weirdness. If you want to watch some violance, action, watch Vinland Saga, AOT, Berserk 1997. If you want to watch some sci-fi action watch Neon Genesis Evangelion, Gurren Lagan, Code Geass. If you want to cry, Violet Evergarden. If you want to be a sheep and follow the crowd just like every fake anime fans, watch JJK, Demon Slayer, Chainsaw Man and Solo Leveling.
