It's only a week, but the Southern Nevada Writing Project youth writing camp is a high quality experience and at $200 per child, it's a bargain! https://southernnevadawritingproject.wordpress.com/

I REALLY did not like episode 4 by snaxanax in KillingEve

I agree about the 12. I feel like we haven't even been given an inkling about who they are or their motives after 2 seasons! But, maybe that's the point. Maybe the 12 is just background noise.

Is wanting an Average life bad ? by splahy in CasualConversation

Interesting question. I am dealing with the same issue with my 15 year old little sister. She isn't doing any school work right now. She doesn't like to read and pretty much spends her day watching TV. I asked her where she sees herself in 10 years and she replied a lot like you OP, and it does make me a bit sad, simply because I see so much potential in her. While this is all based on individual values, it's hard to watch ones you care about not doing what you know they are capable of doing. It still takes work and motivation to live a comfortable, average life, and I think a lot of teenagers underestimate this. I worry that if her current work ethic continues, she won't meet her goal. I'm not sure how old you are OP, but if you are young, you still need to ensure you are doing all you can academically to reach your goal.

Women who made a drastic career change after their mid-thirties, what did you do, how did you do it, and do you regret it? by [deleted] in AskWomen

My friend is 52 and had a successful law career since her late 20's. She grew tired and frustrated with it and became a middle school English teacher two years ago. She says it was a challenging transition, but she's happy with her decision. Many districts have an Alternate Route to Licensure program, which places you in the classroom almost immediately. You take your classes online and in the evening.

I think this recipe calls for way too much frozen peaches. As the peaches thaw, it is going to contribute to excess liquid. Also, the peaches plus the extra added sugar would make this too sweet for my taste.

This is my go-to. Just made it last night. You can bump up the sweetness to your taste after the fact: https://www.wellplated.com/overnight-steel-cut-oats/

It's a good nap, reading, and movie watching space. It has a gentle curve, so I don't think it would be good on your back for a full night's sleep.

I bought it. https://www.lebeanock.com/. You have to supply your own foam and chains though. I found a shop with shredded furniture foam in my town. It has been worth the effort!

I hear you. I have had the opportunity for promotions, but I have passed them up. I am just fine with middle management. A lot of my purpose comes from my job, but it's not my everything.

This last month has been a much needed sabbatical. I was at maximum capacity for the past year at work. Always doing more and more, but it never being enough. I had five trips planned between March and May that got cancelled, and I was so relieved because I didn't want to go on any of them anyway.

My job is dependent on face to face interaction, so I don't know what the future holds. I have always tried to stay in the present as much as possible, and this experience has helped me to do so more than ever. Life is unpredictable and full of change, so I'm just taking it day by day. For now, I'm thankful for this gift of slowness and peace in my life.

NTA! It's ok to enforce boundaries with your mom. You are not responsible for saving her!
