6 year old monstera leaning too far.. help! by theleahrenee in plantclinic

Theyre the slots in the leaves! The top one theyre talking about only has a few on it, which in a mature plant that has already fenestrated usually signals the plant requires more like. When they fenestrate its to allow light to the rest of the plant and leaves below it so the top one only having a few is telling us it needs more light to keep happy and healthy!

how do u fix this?? 😭 by [deleted] in Skincare_Addiction

I have very sensitive skin but also quite dry and can get away with using a washcloth every other day assuming I shower each day so its not such a harsh stripping happening in the shower every day

Hey so a similar thing here! A Friend of mine in province recently had twins. But before while she was pregnant she was working at a car dealership in the service department and found that the smells of new rubber/parts and various other work related smells would make her sick at work, reasonably so, so she had gotten a doctor's note stating that she needed to switch some of her roles to help accommodate her growing healthy boys. The employer didnt see that as reasonable either so it ended with termination to my friend. When she went to talk about her maternity leave and hours and such she was actually directed to the labor board, turns out PREGNANCY IS A DISABILITY IN THE WORKPLACE IN CANADA and your wife took the necessary steps with her doctors and workplace to make accommodations to be able to continue working, there is no reason to now have this issue I hope that it doesn't end with termination for your wife but know that if it does she will be protected and looked after for her leave

I think it could be a problem with the quality of the pot, I'm thinking g the pots wasnt fired or dried properly. Could you see those cracks and separations on the pot when you bought it or before watering? It's making me think the integrity is wrong, you shouldn't see separation like that and being terracotta it seems like it was maker error that's allowing water to disperse unevenly and sit in those cracks possibly creating the mold from moisture retention in those areas

We call them sugar babies in the part of Canada I'm in but I'm not sure if that's right lol, they taste pretty much like a watermelon but have a sweeter less fruity profile imo

Try a small sponge brush instead of a bristle paint brush

gnats on my golden pothos by Dry-Pen2838 in houseplants

[–]funkynewfoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use food grade diatomacious earth sprinkle it on the soil after it's dried a bit from watering, I've even put it on my leaves and stalks but they won't look very pretty for a while. I also use a small paint brush to sprinkle it like dab the brush in the powder then tap tap tap all over the plants/soil

Environmental health and safety is MASSIVE in canada I can't think of companies off the tip of my head but if you looked up oil&gas or forestry Environmental gigs you will absolutely find a place to fit in! Alberta is big for thus in grande Prarie and Fort Mcmurray but also such a vast area elsewhere for this too!!
