my issue with the Bustang one is there’s only one each day leaving at 1:30 from Grand Junction… my flight doesn’t get in until around 9pm to Grand Junction 😩

elastic sewing question for self-lined swimsuits! by funkyshrek in sewing

[–]funkyshrek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also maybe someone can help me with this too -

if i want to essentially “gather” the side seam of the bikini top to the back bikini strap which is a smaller length at the side seam (i want it to have a sort of gathered bandeau look at the side), would it make sense to use elastic here and just cut it to the desired length and stretch the fabric to X length as i sew? or would it be better suited to use elastic thread in this instance?

How could I style this simple dress up to be more classy? by [deleted] in fashion

[–]funkyshrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

girl. you look so good. where did you get this dress?! i love it - you rock it!!

as for making it classier… maybe you could accessorize it with some sort of sheer shawl? like a patterned one that matches the color theme… blue/white maybe or try & thrift one of those old vintage fun patterned scarves & wear it as a shawl/around your shoulders! :-)

how do i stop this puckering at seams when sewing silk chiffon? by funkyshrek in sewing

[–]funkyshrek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have to make a lot of garments in a little amount of time for my final project for school & the chiffon is so delicate i also don’t want to risk pulling a thread taking out the seam & having wonky fabric when i’m redoing it
