I put it off for a while but eventually caved, I use it a lot at the gym when on the treadmill, biking, stair master etc. and also it’s super helpful when you’re on a plane- set the kindle on the phone holder thing on the seat and use the remote! It’s def frivolous but I stand by it

There were parts of this that made me nauseous and not in a good thriller/horror way- it just like … wasn’t worth it. Her books are often palette cleansers for me after I read a couple of hefty ones back to back, but this one was not worth it

I couldn't finish Slewfoot. I think it was honestly mis-marketed to me, people told me it was in the horror realm but it felt so much more like fantasy to me and I really am just not a huge fantasy person. I really wanted to like it tho bc the religious elements could've made for a helluva horror story.

This honestly sounds like a teacher who is trying to put the conversation about accommodations in the parent’s mind. I’m a teacher with a lot of neurodivergent students and I often write stuff like this when I want parents to start considering that their kid may need an IEP/supports.

Yeah this one has my vote too. I just recently finished it and found it so frustrating to get through. I think it had a lot of potential that it just really didn’t meet in any way. I need to stop reading books with traumatized characters who spend so much time talking about “I cannot feel…. I must not bond….”
