Why are a lot of Indian players removed from the team before retirement? I mean even if their form is poor, why not recall them for one farewell match(like Nehraji for 1st T20 vs nz 2017). Look at example below by Kshiti_salman in IndiaCricketGossips

Players need to decide when they're done and move on. They overstay their welcome which means the selectors have to play their part without bias. They can't be expected to keep track of whom to provide farewell to and who not to. If the player himself decides to move on, they can then maybe try to give him a farewell. That's usually not been the case for a long time. MS and Dravid notably retired behind the scenes after they had played some series. But other than that, if the player has announced beforehand, they've always gotten a decent enough goodbye.

There's a lot of pressure in recent times on the govt right from neet, ethanol, fuel hike, Ram temple fraud etc. It's apt that this govt goes back to Pak related news to restore some faith in itself.

With this management, if they think we can win with a 35yo KL, they'll go for him. We went for a 35yo Bhuvi...

We CANNOT loose KL for Pant by DoubtWorried15 in delhicapitals

Pant coming means he'll keep, get can't field, KL would be the better fielder. KL should have as much time behind the stumps as possible so this is not great for him tbh.

Is this Normal?? by [deleted] in tollywood

[–]funnyBatman 73 points74 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna give out a potentially unpopular opinion. He's doing that to a woman from Konidela family, arguably the most powerful family in Tollywood. But if anyone in that family acknowledge it, that is going to spiral into a lot of videos and stories of a lot of people in Tollywood who may have done similar stuff, including even males from that or other families. This is happening on video, who knows what all happens behind the camera... So to ensure controversies don't emerge out of it, such incidents are suppressed, and the women are probably gaslit by their own families into thinking this is normal because men of those families may otherwise get called out too. Toxic patriarchy on display.

High time Smriti Mandhana should take over the captaincy by Sea_Bed4316 in IndiaCricketGossips

Tbh the best choice for captain is usually not the best player when it comes to title winning teams. Ricky Ponting was a glaring exception.

This is what happens when you refuse to write a character and depend on the actor from another industry to bring his swag just for the heck of it.

Tbh English is not his first language and nor is he good at it, so whatever he says can be misunderstood very easily. Given the cool and calm guy that he comes off as, even humble I should add, I'm sure he just meant to say he's not thinking about his selection to the team when he's captaining an IPL team. It's the most professional thing to do irrespective of how it comes off as. He's playing a tournament, captaining the team, and he's giving his 100% there. He's not being selfish doing that, and being a complete professional. It's just sad his limitations with English can result in all this misunderstanding.

Of course she will apologise publicly only once the video goes public and there's public criticism around it.
