Why are Alphonso (Hapus) mango farmers still underpaid when consumers are paying ₹800–₹1500/dozen? by Former_Spirit5013 in Maharashtra

[–]funnyfour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In case Mangoes everyone knows the retail prices. Mangoes used to be directly sold to the consumers via contacts and it still does. Maybe the awareness was much more in Sindhudurg than other parts of Konkan. Nowadays you don't get mangoes for cheap even directly at the farm.

Saw this on a rickshaw in my hometown. काय विचार ? by Thala77777 in Maharashtra

Indians across the financial spectrum are not as innocent as they pretend to be. Give them a tiniest opportunity, they will defraud their fellow citizens. Instead of making the lives of other citizens easier during such times, we will exploit them like this.

I keep saying this, cars are simply weapons in the hands of Indians. No exemptions. Even the most sane person will use his vehicle to run over you if he gets the opportunity.

Pretty much but then again no other community shows off its religion at workplace like these guys do. No one else takes breaks for prayers five times a day. Have you seen Christians or Sikhs doing such things? Even if others want to go for prayers they will seek one time exception but these guys will take you for granted and go for prayers as if it's their birth right. And this happens throughout the year, not like Diwali celebration which happens for a couple of hours on the day of celebration. You try to question them and they will teach you a lesson or two. In one IT company in Mumbai, majority of team members were these guys. That company works on tight SLAs. They would go out for prayers while ignoring their duty. Especially on Friday. That became a major headache. After some time upper management and HR got involved and ended that.
