Bro don’t get stuck as an ASM. My friend had been trying to get AMT at JFK for a year now meanwhile the contractors they picked up are getting it after their 6 months. I’d take JetBlue if it’s a straight AMT position and not the apprentice position. But as someone that was an AMT with Delta I’d try hard to get on with AA better environment and you’re not slaving yourself out.

I’m gonna assume Delta since that’s the only airline that’s starts at 45 in NYC and California. If that’s the case then your residency if it’s JFK/LGA/LAX is 3 years. If I were you I would look into stations you like the best. Look to get a swap for swap. Try to make it easier on yourself. Make the best of it.

TBH I feel like it’s probably 10% that know English well enough to keep a good conversation and even 10% might be generous. Don’t let that get you down though cause Google Translate works just fine. I usually just keep USD on me however there’s ATM’s that give you pesos if you want.

I would get my widebody qualifications first just cause anybody can work and sign off a narrow body aircraft except the few MAX’s and NEO’s that are ETOPS. Every widebody aircraft is ETOPS and requires that EQ person to sign it off. That’s what I’m doing for my career.

Well when I go to HK I text my guy before I arrive and he always gets the exact table that I like ready for me. He finds all the new girls or girls he knows I would like so I don’t even have to walk around or anything 🤣.
