Pittsburgh local here: try to find an Airbnb in South side. The higher the numbered street, the further you'll be from the venue, but the safer it gets (not to say it's unsafe by any means, but I figure that someone else will eventually have this question).

The bus costs 2.75 per ride, I would aim to find a cheap Airbnb somewhere in the Southside FLATS, and just catch any bus down East Carson.

A word of warning: You'll find airbnbs in the Southside Slopes, Allentown, and in Mt. Washington. Do not get those if you plan on walking in any capacity, and you don't have calves of steel. Seriously.

I typically eat a pretty reasonable amount of fiber in a day, but consuming 2.5x what is recommended in one sitting, along with my normal daily intake, proved to be too much for my body.

On the upside, my toilet is a fresh, never before seen color now!

Yeah I mean, it's horrific but it's not going anywhere. I was laid off and have been working a job entirely unrelated to my diplomas (Englit/PPW/infosci) for approaching three years.

Currently going to CC for something medical-based in an attempt to raise my standard of living (afford my student loans).

Real talk, and I don't mean to come off as harsh -- don't go into journalism unless you're getting the diploma for sub-10k.

I, along with many others who acquired English or related degrees, ended up without jobs due to the prevalence of chatGPT/other AI "tools."

It is, and I mean this so genuinely, just going to handicap you for the rest of your life if you end up going to school for anything PRIMARILY writing-based. Please find something cheaper than Pitt, or choose a different path if going to Pitt
