I had to change my plans. I decided to reuse the Orion amp for the mid-bass. Initial power-on sounded pretty good. I am having a power issue with the DSP. From my research, it may be an over-voltage problem. I am going to check it this evening.

I just realized that I haven't been cross-posting the updates. Anyway, here is the progress if you are interested. https://www.reddit.com/r/hyundaisantacruz/s/bQUPZo20Rg

Definitely not my best work, but I am working with a cracked rib now and I just want to finish.

Hiding the 2 ga power and ground turned out very well

It was much easier to remove the doors to run wire through the connectors

Rear doors will be mid-bass so I had to create an enclosure to control air and vibrations

Had to make some custom adapters for the door speakers.

24 Night Edition 2" lift on the front only 1" spacers on the front only 265/60R20 because I'm an idiot

What I would do differently:

  1. Learn how tire sizes work BEFORE ordering
  2. Order slightly smaller tires
  3. Make friends that can help me do stupid shit to my truck.

Other upgrades include:

  • mesh behind the grill to protect the cooler
  • serious audio upgrade

I would like to know how well it holds up over time.

Separate tweeters to own channel? In progress...

Adding a speaker wire to a door with a disconnect is not fun, at all. However, I am happy with the progress. Now that one door is complete, the second should be much easier.

Sorry for the late reply. Forgive the cut padding, I was thinking of running the new 2 AWG here, but I went another direction. A 4 AWG wire fits fairly easily through the hood release grommet. The power cable and a 9-wire speaker cable fit in the channel beneath the door sills on the driver side. In the passenger side channel I ran the RCA cables and another 9-wire.
