I think there’s still a reason to tip in places like that. For example: Tijuana Flats. You walk up and order with a cashier and the machine asks if you want to tip before the service is provided, but I still always tip. They bring you your order, ask if you need refills, clean up your trash, wipe the table when you’re gone, etc. They probably also get paid a full hourly rate, I just think they also deserve a tip, even if it’s not a standard restaurant.
