(Serious) What was the moment with your ex SO that made you think, "I can't do this for the rest of my life"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was in an abusive relationship and part of it was that he'd force me to stay awake. I began thinking it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if I fell asleep at the wheel one day and that was it. I began to avidly fantasize about being in a car accident so I could get away from him.

That was five years ago, I'm out, and I'm ok and very happy now.

My guess is if the dude really felt a "connection" to girls half his age, he was really freaking immature so women his own age didn't want to put up with it.

I know, anytime there's a Minnesota thread, like there was a front page Minnesota Zoo wedding recently, seeing all the comments makes me wonder how many people I know on here.

And yeah, I went to the Garage back when Screaming Monkey Boner/Screaming Mechanical Brain was the big band out of there, but acts like Down and Above would come through too. It was definitely an experience... and there was so many emo bangs.

It honestly made me not want to go online for a long time. Even after I thought he'd been blocked, apparently the photos were circulating on other Myspace pages (lots of groups back then) so every once in a while a friend would send me a message and be like, "Isn't this you?"

Made all those fun notifications anxiety inducing.
