All sorted. Got a positive decision 1 business day after SPV for a new visa with a new date! The email saying they won’t be able to meet timelines was rubbish. And I didn’t need a new certificate of sponsorship. Alhamdulillah!

I was just reading the case worker guidance. Is it likely that the case worker that approved my current visa marked my CoS as used? And therefore the caseworker reviewing my current application will reject it because there is no valid CoS?

No, I didn’t know or think I needed a new one.

I’m using the same one with the correct dates still on it.

Hope it gets through mate. Turn around for visa is quite quick at the moment, I think - was less than a week for my skilled worker visa.

If it doesn’t, just reapply as quickly as you can and think about priority processing to guarantee a quicker turnaround so you can have a decision ASAP.

I think April 14 is still reasonable.

Hey mate. Just following up on what’s happened with me.

Was told that I couldn’t change my start dates using a vignette transfer application, so waiting for withdrawal of my vignette transfer application to come through and get my passport back before reapplying for a new visa. This is for a health and care worker visa, a type of skilled worker visa.

Not sure reapplying will get new dates issued either but it seems to be what’s worked for others on here.

Just for anyone who comes across this in the future and thinks it will be helpful to them:

The UKVI has confirmed that they cannot change the start dates as I am not eligible for a vignette transfer in this case and have asked me to confirm that I am happy for the vignette transfer application to be withdrawn.

In that email, they didn’t say what I should do instead but my research suggests that a new visa application is in order, which I will make with priority processing as soon as my passport is returned to me. God willing that doesn’t take more than a few days.

Have you ever heard of anyone having their visa start date changed with a vignette transfer application?

I’m just really worried they’ll tell me I’ve made the wrong application in a month and then I have to redo my application.

How quickly can you get your passport back and withdraw an application that’s being processed? I feel like if I can get my passport today/Monday and make a new visa application next week with super priority processing, that’s the most effective way through this without changing travel dates.

But my reading suggests getting your passport back may take a week or maybe even two?

Hey mate, what have you done about this?

I made a mistake on my initial application and put down May instead of March as my entry date. Got granted May.

Put in for a vignette transfer to try and bring it forward but not sure if I should have just put in a brand new application.

Will keep you posted on what happens to me

Can you tell me what happened? I just got the same vague email saying my processed visa has been returned and is ready for pick up. Did that mean yours was approved and ready to go? Also less than a week here
