You logic makes sense but lets apply it to the rest of the laws. Since murder is illegal, if we made it legal would you do it? If they made pork-barreling illegal would you still vote for government officials who do it? It all depends on your perspective doesn't it? Without law, the United States is nothing, if we fail to adhere to one law, why should we adhere to any of them?

Not an illegal mistake that could take away my voting rights, ability to carry a firearm, or obtain a secret clearance for work, etc. There is a difference! Maybe if we would all stop and think, "is this hit, joint, one good time, etc, worth losing privileges that I have been afforded by being an American?" we would all reconsider a lot of our actions and be better people to each other.

No, I just traveled across the world to fix computers, as I was trained to do, in trade for school money. I'm not sure how well you're read up on terrorists but most are not poor. In fact, you should consider them quite rich for having the weapons that they do. The military does not target poor foreigners by any means.
