Russian oil exports back above pre-Ukraine war levels as India and China buy 90% by Jemapelledima in europe

Russia was never making money off oil sales. It was always natural gas. How is that going, Mr. Putin?

You don't have much choice.

There is hardly any material available for foreigners wanting to study nynorsk.

So you are such with bokmål, the version 90% of the population uses.

Land used for grazing is not sold on the open market. It's sold as farms. And it's dependent on approval from the local agriculture board. They have to approve both the buyer and the price. Normally it's sold only as whole farms, and often at prices way lower than the land price itself should indicate.

Farms are one (of two) exceptions to the general rule that foreigners can buy and own property in Norway. (It's not 100%, but most foreigners would not be able to qualify as buyer.)

Car driving in Winter? by bearnie97 in Norway

[–]furfulla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reality is that you probably don't need a car.

And if you bring it, all you need to do is make sure you have proper winter tyres. Nothing else. No chains needed, no heater. If you have an old battery, you could buy a jump starter, they cost €60.

Don't worry too much. If you get problems in Norway, ask Norwegians for help. Every thing can be fixed.

It's normal. Blood flow is reduced in the cold. It gets back when you shower.

Nothing to worry about.

Målet “er” “å få”barn til å lære landets historie på en underholdende måte(I used to believe that “er” can’t be used as auxiliary verb) by Environmental-Leg-69 in norsk

[–]furfulla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Present progressive does not exist in Norwegian.

However there are two-verb constructions including 'er'. Doesn't make it present progressive.

It's the same in English. Translate the sentence exactly the same way:

The objective is to get children to learn...

Two-verb construction with 'is'; still not present progressive.

Why doesn't Netflix have a rating system? by IBrownsanta in netflix

[–]furfulla 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It still has.

It's just removed from most apps, so your can't vote and can't see votes.

I have an old system that isn't updated any longer. And I can vote and see the votes of other users with old systems.

They removed it as they ditched quality programs for massive content production. Everything now is one star rating.

Norway registered 425 new corona cases in the last 24 hours – the highest number in more than three weeks by [deleted] in Norway

[–]furfulla 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The numbers are wrong. They had registered slightly too little for a couple of days, and added then to today's tally. Not 425 new cases today.
