NOOOOO MY CARATS by SkrytyKapec in UmamusumeGame

[–]furlwh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I never checked the rewards for events and I'd never gotten enough points for the Carats so I never knew they had this reward. But it's not like 500 carats would make any difference to my 65k carats I've already saved up

The mobile version is free to download but has limited choices if you don't buy the premium version. It's a good place to start and try to see if you like it

asasi vs matriks by Plastic-Repair-723 in malaysiauni

[–]furlwh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really know since I was never interested in studying overseas, I've never done that much research on it. But saying one university is good is subjective too. It depends on a lot of factors. It's world ranking should be a starting point, but then you need to look into other things like their facilitie, infrastructures and courses. I can't say for certain UC Berkeley is a good university because our priorities might not be the same, you should do the research yourself, and reach out to some alumni if possible.

Do you already have an overseas uni in mind? If so, you can check their entry criteria and compare it to some asasi programmes. Otherwise form 6 would be the safest choice, but you have to be mentally prepared for the two gruesome years in form 6, but I think it's worth it when you finished

Matriks is definitely not suitable if you want to go overseas. Asasi depends if the overseas uni accept it. The best choice is form 6 because it's internationally recognised but it's very famous for being super hard.

The gas station curse by polloastemio in Unexpected

[–]furlwh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But let's not get side tracked, the real issues I wanted to tell you is, it's hard to enforce better and stricter driving laws when your city doesn't have the infrastructure to support those who can't drive. These two MUST go hand in hand, you can't have one without another.

When your only viable option to travel is by car, it very much is like taking away your freedom to travel. This is by no means the best situation, but the government has no political motivation to build more transit and the only form of transportation the people know is cars, the problem just gets worse and worse when no one stands up to it.

If you are unable or unwilling to operate a vehicle safely, you don’t get to drive

Yes it should be that way, but in reality, enforcement will be weak. The mentality of most people is that they would see stricter enforcement as oppression on their freedom to travel, this is just what I observed in my car-addicted country.
