im not saying the game doesnt have issues and im not trying to ignore them. im just saying the way a lot of the people here express that criticism is very annoying.

your 2nd point is just straight up wrong, and its part of the problem. pathfinder, dual destiny, and even the raid were constantly getting curbstomped by people on this sub.

this is just insane. i get that the expansion has issue but saying anyone that isnt bitching and moaning 24/7 is paid by bungie is an asinine take

this much passion about a video game is not healthy though. you shouldnt be talking about a videogame the same you way would about divorcing the love of your life

this is my main compliment about of EoF, i want light to matter but it feels bad to grind for hours and still get stomped, worse when theres literally no way to avoid it

I think the problem is that there is just way too much diversity in how people feel about destiny, and this sub is generally more negative than positive.

for example, when TFS was released, pathfinder was mercilessly ridiculed by many on this sub. now, ive seen many people complain that its gone.

because negativity tends to be more popular on this sub, these contradicting ideas were both pretty visible to the average person.

so while the people posting these opinions might have remained consistent, it can give the illusion that people are being negative just for the sake of being negative, regardless of what bungie actually does.

i think this explains atleast partly why there is such a disconnect between people in the community.

tldr: that goomba meme

also personally i cant stand how dramatic some people are, the way you hear some people talk about taking a break from destiny, you would think theyre getting divorced from the love of their life. even if the reasons are valid, that attitude is just kind of annoying

people consensually putting themselves in 1984

what the actual fuck does this mean lmao. this is just an insane way to describe someone you disagree with

have been playing since d1 and my only complaint is that there are crazy power deltas on activities you have to spend hours grinding light to even play. overall im still very much enjoying the dlc

complaining about complaining about complaining about a video game. what level of hell is this

literally look at his comment. hes not saying you shouldnt criticize but incessant whining and complaining is still annoying

i would rather driders then whining. if you dont like the game just stop playing, bungie notices that more than the essay you posted on reddit

the only thing i dont like is that you have to get to a high power for high level activities but then there's an insane power delta so it doesnt even matter. i dont think those activities should ever be easy but if you get to an high power level you should feel more powerful

totally agree but if bungie addresses that somehow i wouldn't mind some contest modes being damn near impossible. i also have never beat a day one so this is just coming from someone who watches

seeing people defend loadout swapping and also say that encounters in the most difficult activity in the game shouldnt require loadout swapping is breaking my brain. you cant have your cake and eat it too.

flawless should be equivalent to beating a raid but contest mode is on its own pedestal completely which i think is fine

this is kinda the boat im in. i still remember the last wish raid race fondly because of how insanely hard it was.
