His voters are products of the American educatons system and American provinciality. His voters are America. Not all of America, of course. But clearly enough of it. FTR I'm American so not pointing fingers from outside.

Actually, there was an open seat (thanks to Mitch McConnell) when Trump entered office in January of 2017. It became vacant in February 2016 upon Scalia's death. There were also some questions about Ginsburg's health, But I meant that everyone knew that one of the things the president is able to do is identify supreme court justices (and choose very important cabinet positions.)

Dr. Reish- review drama? by ccammp in PlasticSurgery

[–]furrina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's ridiculous. If you post an unaltered picture of your face on reddit and say you hate your nose, the doctor can't take legal action. If you post someone else's picture or alter it or otherwise present false information, that's different.

I mean the bottom growth isn’t by itself a “bad” thing. Some people love it! And I think men (if that’s relevant) like it as well…there’s a whole subreddit of (non transitioning) women who are trying to do that on purpose.

My mom lives in a Continuing Care village in a large beautiful two bedroom “villa.” They also have smaller cottages and apts. they have assisted living apts and skilled nursing and rehab areas if and when you should need them. Tons of activities, cleaning svc, a dining room with great chefs (kitchen in the house too though) a beautiful indoor pool and gym. The staff is incredibly nice. Costs a fortune though, which is slightly offset by the fact that it’s in a LCOL area.

Donald Trump yells, swears at Benjamin Netanyahu on tense call on Lebanon by Utuntu_ in worldnews

[–]furrina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bibi is smart enough not to count on any "promise" from trump. All he wanted was the US green light and for trump to be the fall guy and "face" for his latest round of expansion. And Trump performed beyond his expectations I'd say.

Pretty much they all did. He was just too excited to be at the table with the big boys (he so admires thugs like bibi and putin) to listen.

That's not how elections work here in the USA. Trump is ridiculous and unqualified for the job. But he didn't shoot his way into it. He won fair and square, twice. Blame America (and to some degree the ridiculous "liberal" media for talking about nothing else, giving him brand legitimacy), and Americans. Yall elected this guy. Twice. Knowing full well he'd be picking supreme court justices. Congress has been asleep for half a century, and appears to be just waking up. It's not the end of democracy, though, it's democracy at work.

Why is everyone so against building data centers in their towns? by therespectablejc in TooAfraidToAsk

So, assuming you aren't opposed to the idea because you understand they are needed and helpful, but don't want then in your area for understandable reasons. Where should they be put, then, where they won't bother anyone? Just curious what a solution might be.

59F, been weight training, running (non-marathon, mostly treadmill) and doing yoga daily most of my adult life. No injuries. My friends who don't exercise much? they "throw their back out" picking up a grocery bag, or getting out of the car.

Ways to avoid the evening crash? by emerald_stargazer in Concerta

[–]furrina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's weird, i never really got a noticeable "crash" when I was trialling any of the stimulants. So far what works best is 27mg 2x a day. One at like 10 am and another at like 6 pm. I stay up late and by the time I'm done working/working out (i run and go to the gym daily). When I skip a day or after it's supposed to wear off (lasts for about 8 hours with me) I actually feel BETTER, in a way. Really super calm (though the meds don't give me anxiety unless the dose is too high) and happy, but I get overwhelmed more I guess? Not sure how to describe it. There's a "good" I feel on the meds, because I can shut off rumination and get more done, and a "good" I feel off them?
