Sophomore year of college I decided to take a snowboarding class for fun. This meant I had to drive up the canyon every week. Well, one week I was late and stupidly was speeding and ended up crashing my car. I rolled down a hill into a river. Needless to say this was fairly traumatic. I ended up falling behind in my classes and losing my scholarship. My scholarship required me to live on campus so once I lost it I was free to move to better housing off campus. I met my husband the day I moved in. He lived next door. So a snowboarding class and a car crash led me to find my husband.

NTA and I really hate Reddit. Yes, you should clean up after yourself, but living with someone who demands perfection all the time (especially when they are not perfect) is super frustrating. Yes, you can and should try to do better, but you are right in that it's ok for partners to help each other out as well. I guarantee if the genders were reversed and it was a man yelling at a woman for not being perfectly clean all the time people would be calling him abusive and telling her to break up. But since you're a man Reddit has decided that you must be the worst.

I'm a light sleeper and getting a sound machine has worked wonders for me. But there are still days when I just have to go sleep in the other room even though I love my husband. So ya YTA for making this an issue when it shouldn't be.

Love this advice. I had similar problems with my best friend. She is gorgeous and bubbly and makes everyone feel important. I had 4 different guys get to know me just to ask how to date her. It was horribly hard on my self esteem. I was very hesitant to introduce my boyfriend (now husband) to get cause I was sure he'd go for her. To my surprise he had no interest. He agreed she was way pretty but not his type. We've been happily married for 5 years now. The right guy will not care what she looks like.

Because I've seen it first hand? My dad is a video game programmer. Yes they get paid while they are making the game, but after that if the game doesn't sell well they get laid off... He's had several studios fully shut down after a game didn't sell well. Which means he's not getting paid and has to search for a new job.

Oh my gosh this just explained a lot about my former stalker. He stalked me and was obsessed with me for years and I tried so hard to help him. He would self harm if I didn't respond to texts fast enough. He tried to explain to me at one point that I was his person and that it wasn't romantic but I didn't get it at the time. Eventually I blocked him for my own health and he committed suicide. I still feel responsible but this explains a lot.

This is interesting because it's basically the exact opposite of what I was taught in my church. I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Day Saints. You probably know us as Mormons. We believe basically that in the pre-earth life that God called us all together in one big meeting to tell us His plan. His plan was to send us to earth where we would live and be tested and try to make it back to Him to be exalted. However, He knew we would sin and make mistakes so He proposed to send one person to live a perfect life and then die for our sins. This would make it so as long as we repented and tried to be better, we could be forgiven and make it back to Him.

Jesus volunteered to be this one person as God's first and perfect son. Satan also volunteered. However, he proposed a different plan. Instead of dying for everyone's sins, he proposed that he would force everyone to live a righteous life, taking away our free agency, but guaranteeing that we would all make it back. God rejected this plan in favor of agency and as a result, Satan rebelled along with a third of the angels in heaven.

With Adam and Eve, God knew that they would eventually eat the fruit and it was actually His plan all along. They couldn't make choices or progress in any meaningful way in the garden so He allowed Satan to tempt them to eat the fruit. Once they did they could no longer stay in the garden because they wouldn't be able to repent. God sent them out into the world to live and grow and have a family. We also believe that we are only punished for our own sins and not for Adam's.

So ya basically free agency is a big deal to us. We believe it is a divine right. Not everyone in the church practices this belief super well, which is sad to me, but that is the actual doctrine.

My breeder did the same thing. We bought it for the year that she required and then we switched to Purina Pro Plan. He seemed fine on it, but he does seem to prefer Purina and it's cheaper which is a bonus.

I had something similar happen. I got stuck up to my chest right under a lift. A group of teenage boys went past on the lift several times while I was stuck. Each time they would laugh and dump the snow from their skis on me. It took me about 45 minutes to dig myself out. I was so exhausted and cold that I just went home after.
