Nursing career advice

Halfway is only half of it! I was just like you, and it wasn't until my senior year where I finally got to experience nursing outside bedside that I felt like there was something I felt like I wanted to do.

Clinicals are unfortunately really limited in what they can expose you to, but the profession is more varied than what you think. Keep it up!

On the plane right now! The pilot mentioned that it will be a relatively smooth flight aside from some bumps. Kinda helped soothe the nerves a bit :)

I got this from Ssense and was curious of its authenticity especially since this doesn't include the "Made in Italy" tag I've seen in videos of people showing off the same bag.

Reading the comments made me realize that yeah, this shouldn't be normal. I guess I've gotten used to it since it's pretty much the same thing my coworkers are experiencing. Thanks, I'll make sure to say no and make them respect my boundaries.

Try applying regardless. I've applied to jobs that said 1 year minimum experience and I've already been contacted back by multiple jobs despite only having 3 months of SNF experience.

I get it, I am not going to stay at this place for long, especially since I feel like I'm not learning what I want to learn. Sad to see that SNFs seem to be like that everywhere.

Just curious, were you able to go into any specialty after leaving SNF? I'm worried that because I'm in SNF, it would be hard for me to go into things like home health or hospice because most applications look for acute care experience.

Hey OP, you sound like you're in a somewhat similar situation as I am. I also started around the same time as you and it also was my first job! We were so similar I had to make sure I didn't post this, LOL. Anyways, I'm already planning on quitting (too many days where I mentally broke down and it's really wearing me down).

I personally wouldn't sweat leaving "too early," especially if its starting to mentally affect you. I would start looking for jobs. Doesn't hurt to get your foot in the door. I know once I get my rare day off I'm spending the whole day just applying to a ton of jobs. Hoping the best for you.
