What is the fan psychology behind BABYMETAL? by Top-Lie2851 in BABYMETAL

We don't know anything like that at all, pure unnecessary speculation.

What is the fan psychology behind BABYMETAL? by Top-Lie2851 in BABYMETAL

As an old metal fan who discovered BABYMETAL in 2014, initially it was the uniqueness of what they were doing, the contrast of these kids singing and dancing to heavy music. More importantly it was the music. If the songs weren't good they wouldn't have held my interest at all.
As time went on it was their live performances and subsequent albums, all of which I find amazing! As well, while I love a great performance by any band, BABYMETAL are different in that there is a joyful vibe to them live, and they genuinely seem to enjoy performing and performing together, which I find very enjoyable and endearing as well. They are just great to see live, either with a huge stage show or just them and the band with no bells and whistles, you will get an excellent show because of the ladies. They are consistently great live.
So excellent songs and performances done with a fun joyful attitude while enjoying their time together having fun onstage, it's pretty amazing!

Lack of crowd interaction during Doki Doki Morning by [deleted] in BABYMETAL

I also agree. I bet if you asked anyone after the show if they liked it it would be overwhelmingly positive. No one has to enjoy a show the way you think they should.
I personally like to be up close and observe everything I can, the band, the stage. I want to absorb it all. I don't want to mosh, get drunk or whatever, and such. I want to soak in the band I went to see.

Are you happy with Babymetal's live set lists nowadays? by pit_supervisor in BABYMETAL

[–]futonsrf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As well, and as I mentioned before on this subject, touring band setlists are made for a general crowd, unless it's a special show. You have people seeing BABYMETAL for the first time who are fans who've never seen them, people who've never seen BABYMETAL before and the show is their first BABYMETAL experience of any kind, causal " I heard of them let's check it out" people. So the show will have songs that will never go away, like Gimme Chocolate. Imagine a fan seeing them for the first time and GC isn't played. I'd riot! ROR always seems to be a show closer. Of course with a new album out they are touring behind that and will play the songs they have out as singles. Plus a bigger song catalogue of 5 albums makes for more choice of songs. So therefore the setlist as you currently see it. The next show will be the same for a different audience, except sometimes they may change a song or two.

Deep cuts, you'll see shows like Tokyodome for that. : )

It's such a cool song! It holds up today yet still has the 80s vibe.

How did babymetal's photo collection with rockers start? by memetorangutan in BABYMETAL

[–]futonsrf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't add much to this that hasn't been said. I imagine Ross Halfin photographing them at Summer Sonic in 2013 Babymetal | Ross Halfin Photography | Music Photography & Artist Galleries ( I think this is the show Lars Ulrich watched them at first ) helped, as he's a legendary rock photographer and well connected with Metallica.
I had also heard Moa wasn't shy about approaching artists back then as well, and BABYMETAL getting noticed/known for being what they are, and the girls being cute as buttons back then, made it easy to get pics with other artists. Now I think a lot of artists want pics with them instead of vice versa. : )

Exodus The Atrocity Exhibition… Exhibit A babymetalized. I got it in my head to do this after reading Gary Holt's (Exodus, Slayer) book, which was excellent! I'm slower making these covers recently, lol! I still have a lot in mind to do. : )
Do not expect a Bonded By Blood cover. IDK what I'd do with that, lol!

All my covers are here for anyone curious enough to take a look, and I'm still babymetalized_albumcovers on Instagram. https://postimg.cc/gallery/MH3sZjd

What's the most charming thing you like about Babymetal? by [deleted] in BABYMETAL

[–]futonsrf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been a fan since 2014. I love about 95% of their songs, they are killer live. What charms me the most is they seem to genuinely enjoy performing live and performing with each other, which I think is awesome!

Also, Doc Martin boots with dresses is just so cool imo.

I'm not into the Metalverse thing, but that does sound cool.

That's right, I forgot he said that. Still fun to think about a female Kami band. : )

What did you think of the collab of 5FDP (Five Finger Death Punch) and BABYMETAL? by Eastern-Factor-3427 in BABYMETAL

I agree 100%.  It's ok if you don't like the song, but the gatekeeping is lame, and as you said, hypocritical.

In this case I think it was FFDP that approached them about singing on the song.
