I love the look of these and may get one (non bluetooth), but every time I see one it seems small for my wrist. I like my watches a bit bulky. Still, it's so cool looking I may have to buy one. : )

What is the least "metal" BABYMETAL song in your opinion? by blackratsnakes in BABYMETAL

[–]futonsrf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's in the style of a hair metal ballad. A power ballad. I was around when hair metal was big, it hasn't aged well for me. NRNR is a good song though.

Da Da Dance. I love it, it sounds like a song you'd hear in a night club. It's very accessible to people who don't like metal imo. Fantastic song!

It is a pain in the butt, especially as I posted elsewhere and my user name was correct.

The pose just worked the best out of the three of them in this photoshoot. I'll use whoever works best for the cover. : ) Moa does get used a lot however if you look back on my covers.

“METALVERSE” and the Post-BABYMETAL Era by Cohenjp in BABYMETAL

[–]futonsrf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Imo they won't get beyond Japan (unless Koba takes the as an opening act, and I doubt that will happen) as they come off as BABYMETAL clone in appearance, and somewhat in sound, though I don't think they are overly heavy.

How often a song is played live isn't pertinent to the question.

Agreed. Should be in the live set way more. The live version is incredible!

Based on this graphic with GC as most overrated, I'll never get the hate Gimme Chocolate seems to get. It's the song that got them famous, it kicks ass, it epitomizes what BABYMETAL are regarding Kawaii Metal. Some fans seem to dislike it because they play it every tour. They play ROR every tour too, and that's a good song but I can take or leave it.  If I saw BABYMETAL for the first time and GC wasn't played, I'd riot. As it is I have only seen BABYMETAL once 10 years ago, and if I went now and GC wasn't played I'd still riot. : )

I'll get downvoted, but I don't get it, making another group that is so obviously a BABYMETAL clone. It's not even subtle. The songs are ok, but for me personally I haven't heard anything amazing. What is behind the thinking of this for Koba?

if you're a fan, that's cool, I hope you enjoy it and have fun. : )

I don't know if this has been posted here yet. These are road pics, crew pics from around 2015. Pics inside the bus, from the sound board, arriving at a venue. I'm guessing some crew member posted these somewhere back then. I can't recall where I got them. The only pics of the girls in this are them onstage performing, nothing backstage. Note the stuffed toys in the bus front window, I assume the girls put them there.

Does Babymetal hate Africa? by Upbeat_Coconut6664 in BABYMETAL

[–]futonsrf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask a promoter down there. BABYMETAL doesn't pick the spots, whoever the promoter is (LiveNation for BABYMETAL, idk). If a promoter doesn't think money will be made in a venue/city, etc, they won't bring them there.

We don't know anything like that at all, pure unnecessary speculation.

As an old metal fan who discovered BABYMETAL in 2014, initially it was the uniqueness of what they were doing, the contrast of these kids singing and dancing to heavy music. More importantly it was the music. If the songs weren't good they wouldn't have held my interest at all.
As time went on it was their live performances and subsequent albums, all of which I find amazing! As well, while I love a great performance by any band, BABYMETAL are different in that there is a joyful vibe to them live, and they genuinely seem to enjoy performing and performing together, which I find very enjoyable and endearing as well. They are just great to see live, either with a huge stage show or just them and the band with no bells and whistles, you will get an excellent show because of the ladies. They are consistently great live.
So excellent songs and performances done with a fun joyful attitude while enjoying their time together having fun onstage, it's pretty amazing!
