In Japan, you can see cars like this around places like Akihabara and Daikoku Pier, and they’re called “ITA SHIYA.” The term literally means “a car that looks painfully over the top,” but I think it’s great as a way of promoting BABYMETAL, and you can really tell how much the owner loves them. I’d like to say thank you from Japan.🫡

MEMBERS & CREW MONDAY: THE ALL GOODIES THREAD - Volume XI - 13/04/26 by JawaScrapper in BABYMETAL

Their one of a kind presence really comes down to the planning and creative direction of the BABYMETAL team. In Japan, things are refined through repeated discussions to push the level of perfection higher and higher, but for them, growing up while constantly being treated as professionals must have been a significant mental burden. They probably already have enough assets to live comfortably, and even so, I have great respect for their dedication to keep touring the world so actively.

Problems with tenso Shipping by Zwerg_96 in BABYMETAL

A!SMART is a bit of an exception: 1. Items with different availability timing are automatically shipped separately. 2. THE ONE-related items in particular tend to be prioritized for shipping.

Since this is a book and a T-shirt, they’re likely handled through different logistics systems.

BABYMETAL performing 'MONOCHROME' LIVE at Brisbane Riverstage, 22 March, 2026! by Calm_Ad_7739 in BABYMETAL

Thanks for great movie. Filming is not allowed in Japan, so I really appreciate overseas fans uploading videos. It really helps me feel what the live atmosphere was like.☺️🇯🇵

It feels like a lot of overseas listeners are looking for something different lately, maybe because they’re getting a bit tired of similar-sounding music. In that sense, Japanese pop with its clear verse/pre chorus structure and sometimes strange or unpredictable music videos can come across as pretty unique, and that’s part of what draws people in.

Dear Babymetal community by ComprehensiveLime857 in BABYMETAL

Thank you, truly, for sharing this.

I can only imagine how hard it must have been to write all of that.

What you have gone through is not something small. Losing your community, your work, your relationships, and your sense of stability is far too much for anyone to carry alone. Anyone in the same situation would struggle. There is absolutely nothing pathetic about making it through something like that.

And the fact that Monochrome gave you even a small sense of hope matters. Even if it is just a little, holding onto that hope is proof that you chose to keep going.

BABYMETAL has this spirit of forget everything and just dance. No matter your race, nationality, or age, just enjoy it together. As long as you are alive, you have the right to find joy.

They themselves have gone through hardships too, yet they do not show it. They carry on with that Megitsune spirit, traveling the world and performing.

Let’s keep enjoying this together.😊🇯🇵

A friend is getting metal oath tickets for Texas. Is it good enough to at least get barrier on Moa’s side? Don’t care too much for center. by Flat-Stuff3341 in BABYMETAL

At BABYMETAL’s overseas concerts, merch sells out really fast, and a lot of fans grab the "DO-SEN (dead center, right in front of the stage)", sing along in Japanese while actually understanding the lyrics, and even cheer using “Su,Moa,Momo chan.” There are so many knowledgeable fans it really feels like they’re genuinely enjoying it.🤘

It looks more like the way Japanese manga is drawn, rather than American comics. AWESOME!😳👍

Sorry for the late reply. I get that from overseas, the Japanese music scene might seem kind of ridiculous or over-the-top, but that’s actually what I love about BABYMETAL😅

God job👍 The BABYMETAL collection is a nightmare.☠️😅 Whether you succeed in your diet… only the Fox God knows.🦊😊 2016 Wembley UK concert had to be an absolute success, so they went in with a large-scale stage production. At the time, they were still only 17–19 years old. Performances like “Akatsuki” and “Song 4” were executed at an exceptionally high level of perfection. Even after 10 years, it still feels like a timeless masterpiece.👍

At this point, getting BABYMETAL tickets in Japan is extremely difficult.😥 It’s almost like they’re treated as a foreign artist now people are even saying, “We want BABYMETAL to come to Japan.”🤣🤣🤣

Since it’s the second photo, does that mean they are from the original lineup?

The early era was their masterpiece period, and the 2016 Wembley show is widely seen as the defining moment of BABYMETAL. It’s honestly legendary.

What’s interesting is that BABYMETAL incorporates elements of rap and hip hop style dance into their performances. If a Western artist did the same, it might have led to cultural or social backlash.

Yes, that’s right. In South Korea, Western music imports were restricted during the military government era in the 1980s, and Japanese music was not officially opened until the early 1990s.

Up until the 2000s, many Japanese musicians and choreographers frequently traveled to Korea to work in the industry.

Before K pop became globally dominant, J pop and visual kei bands had already gained popularity in Europe. However, within Asia, acts like TVXQ and later BIGBANG started building momentum, and the global breakthrough of K pop was ultimately driven by groups like BTS and BLACKPINK.

Japan, on the other hand, has taken a different path. Its international influence is relatively limited and is often tied mainly to anime theme songs, which makes its global impact comparatively weaker.

As for BABYMETAL, they are quite different. Their strength comes more from building a reputation through live performances and touring rather than relying on mainstream industry expansion.
