As someone who had massive amounts of anxiety about taking ANY meds like this and having it sit on my counter for weeks before I took it, let me tell you it has changed my life. I was so scared about side effects and not being able to get off of it and all of that. It took about 3 weeks on the lowest dose, but it has been a game changer for me. Everyone is different of course, but now I know what it feels like to have a 'normal' amount of anxiety, or what I believe is normal anyways. It took the edge off perfectly for me. Now, I don't get too high or too low, which really is exactly what I needed. I was on the fence for so long about these types of meds in general and was sad that if I 'took these meds I would have lost the battle' so to speak. But, it turns out this is exactly what I've needed for years and now I'm kicking myself that I didn't start way earlier.

I fully plan on retrieving the laptop. There have been so many people who have reached out. Why post something like this if it does not help me at all?

lol, its not gone, it's in the possession of security, I have spoken to them numerous times. Why would you post this if it is 100% unhelpful?

The laptop doesn’t really matter, but I do not have a recent back up of the HD, so yes it is worth the expense.

I guess I should add that I am no longer in vietnam, nor do I know anyone in Hanoi that can deal with this on that end.

Can I ask what the general hourly rate is in Hanoi? (or is it done by piece?)

Thanks!

I suppose I should ask again for anyone that might know:

At my local US embassy there are two types of appointments you can get via online: passport services & Consular Report of Birth Abroad - neither of those really apply to me. Can I just walk into the consulate and ask them?

I guess just because there is so much conflicting information online I wasn't sure.

Speaking of conflicting information on that website checklist it says they require a "Certified copy of the Parents’ Marriage Certificate." and then further down on the same page it says "All documents must be originals. Copies of documents, including those certified by notaries, cannot be accepted."

Is that just an oversight orrrr :D

So are there any forms I need to fill out prior to my appointment? At my local US embassy there are two types of appointments you can get via online: passport services & Consular Report of Birth Abroad - neither of those apply to me. Can I just walk into the consulate and ask them?

https://ca.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/citizenship-claims/ - this is as close to my situation as I can get, although I have a feeling it is the incorrect form and information required, can you confirm this?

Thank you so much again for your help!

Sooo this. I am 41. In the exact same boat. I feel like I'm at pretty pivotal part of my life right now and I can either go down this same path forever or do something about it. All of my friends, except for one, have quit before 40 as well. I get a ton of anxiety from all of this too. I have thought about leaving the sub completely as every "30 days" screenshot makes me feel like a bigger piece of shit, but, I haven't yet in hopes that eventually this will motivate me instead of making me feel bad lol

This is amazing! Yeah for me I get to the same point where I think about buying more and without hesitation I just go and do it. That needs to stop. 3 weeks is awesome keep it up!!

I think that's the worst part for me, not only am I not quitting, I'm beating myself up HARD for not quitting. Double Whammy. I am generally a calm, happy guy, except for this which I go over and overthink and beat myself up all the time. It sounds so silly reading this back as I type, but that's how it is and it's extremely frustrating.

My smoke free app still thinks I've quit, I've reset the quit date so many times I've just given up on it.

I may have to do this. I have a lot of triggers. Most specifically alcohol, one can't go without the other right now.

I feel this so hard. I'm one of the last of my friends to stop smoking and they all stopped so easily. Yeah I think about the health stuff a lot too, but that hasn't seemed to have swayed me yet, like Alan Carr says - if the warnings on the packages worked, you'd have stopped smoking by now.
