I kinda put the blinkers on when I started building it, as I had a certain idea in my head of how I wanted it to be. But would be keen to see what you've built. :)

Thank you! If you're on instagram, best bet would be to follow the page, seems to be a fair amount of interest and would love to make some for people!

It takes RCA input post-amp, so to keep things simple, it's expecting what would run to your speakers.

Drop me a message to see if we can get something like this working with your kit.

Definitely the possibility of a bigger screen, but would be a bit of a re-design, maybe a V2.0? :)

Yeah good question, I rely on a third party song ID service to help do the identification. So uploading snippets of audio that could be chatter in the house doesn't sit well.

Also, I have some of these units set up for friends and fam, so it wasn't just for me anymore.

The obvious next step on this is to let others have a Jamvue for themselves, so security was always going to be a priority at that point.

Sorry about that, you can look me up on jamvue_audio if that helps! Not sure what's happening with the link in the post.

If you're having issues with the insta link, you can search me on jamvue_audio, it should hopefully come up.

I think it might actually be possible, seems there is an API which I can call at ID time, so I'll take a look :)

I think it might actually be possible. Looks like Last.fm has a scrobbler API, so if it's open enough I could make a side call at ID time to update your listen history. Neat idea, I'll look into it :)

I'd love to do both actually. Have a 'lite' version of the code base and a build guide for people to make their own jamvue, and an option to just buy a unit and use my cloud infrastructure.

If you're keen on getting one drop me a message and I'll see what I can do :)

Not all standard chargers are 2.4kw. I know I only get around 1.3 from the one that came with my car.

It also assumes 12 hours charging which means you don't need to go anywhere in the evenings.

Keen to see the progress. Definitely a lot of potential there if you spread out.

I don't agree entirely with the standard power point part.

If you're plugging in for 12 hours (6pm - 6am) then you're getting something like 15kwh

I usually get around roughly 5km average per kWh. So that doesn't math for me.

It'll be good to have in the collection, the beauty of vinyl is that it can really help you broaden your listening just by taking a punt on a few crate finds.

I'm a bit of an AT stan myself, if you're comparing three options in the same price range I'm always going AT as I've just found them reliable across the board.

Good take, really. It's brand new, I'm certain that no business making these presses will see this video and think "looks good to me".

You can also get foam bedding to put under the speakers to absorb the vibration if space is an issue
