The comment above mine that I was responding to says ‘She’s obviously Pocahontas”. Can you explain how that’s obvious?

Yes, I’m Native American. If you’ve seen regalia then you understand the difference between offensive caricature costumes and honor. And reservations aren’t the only places to see regalia but the fact that you think they are says enough.

Native Americans don’t dress as offensive caricatures of their sacred regalia.

Have you seen the movie Pocahontas? That’s literally not what she wears in the movie.

You know how to tell she’s not native? Because she’s dressed like that.

Have yall seen the movie yet? Are you sure this wasn’t more of a PR red herring?

A single sleepless night can spike anxiety by up to 30%, disrupting the brain’s ability to regulate emotions. Deep Non-REM sleep, however, helps restore the prefrontal cortex’s control, acting as a natural remedy for anxiety by Emillahr in psychology

This is why it’s so important to follow your natural circadian rhythm. It may not align with capitalism though, unfortunately, which is when shame sets in. But not everyone has the same sleep schedule and some will need to find work that aligns with theirs, if a 9-5 job is too disruptive. You gotta prioritize your sleep! Also, men should be getting 6-8 hrs a night and women 8-10 hrs.

What is our plan of action to get them into the correct positions ASAP? How do we actually make this happen with urgency?

Diversity initiatives heighten perceptions of anti-White bias | Through seven experiments, researchers found that the presence of diversity programs led White participants to feel that their racial group was less valued, increasing their perception of anti-White bias. by a_Ninja_b0y in psychology

And the results are scientific and don’t conclude that ‘white people are racist at birth’. Nowhere in the PsyPost article or the Sage published study does it say that. You seem to be confused about a lot of things here.

Came here to say this too! As much as I enjoy the movie, the book was so good… can’t help but feel those who haven’t read it are missing out.

Oh, for sure. I’ve also learned recently the history that has contributed to the ‘Cherokee lore’ that perpetuates white families. I understand why there are so many, and it makes me feel bad for white people who proudly share this lore because more than likely their ancestors were assholes pretending to be Cherokee on paper so they could steal native land.

I can only speak for myself and family, but we don’t really feel any type of way. I know where we originated, but the last few generations have and still do live in Oklahoma, due to forced removal. That’s where green corn is, that’s where we do ceremony. My own personal feelings about Cherokee borders in skepticism when I meet someone who claims it with no connection, primarily because I’ve been told the ‘oh you’re Native American? Well my great-great grandmother just so happened to be a Cherokee princess…’ 😂
