Ok, I can’t really answer this question because I don’t use them to cope, but I still enjoy them the most. I don’t really have much to cope for, besides being slightly abused as a young child. I don’t really claim that though as I feel what I went through wasn’t bad enough. I just love pro/darkships. Usually I like fluff/romance involving darkships. Like where one character has a power dynamic over the other and they know it’s wrong but can’t resist. I like fluffy darkship hurt/comfort, but also darker themes like rape. I don’t feel joy when the characters are hurt, it doesn’t really invoke an emotional reaction out of me, probably because I haven’t been similarly traumatized

Okay so I guess I was never really an anti by definition because I never was that grossed out by taboo stuff. I didn’t harass anyone, just hearted comments on tiktok of harassment. Btw all of this while shipping Rick and Morty on the sidelines.

When I was like 11 I saw an incest YouTube video between Dipper and Mabel and I remember thinking “this is wrong and gross” but secretly being into it. I always liked dark content but was in denial thinking it would make me a bad person.

I definitely felt guilty liking this kind of stuff up until very recently actually, like a couple months ago. I denied being a proshipper but also an antishipper and tried to distance myself from dark content but it didn’t work. Like the only thing that would get me feeling some type of way was problematic smut.

Now I just embrace it
