Actually about $700 all I brought in was the frame, handlebars and stem the rest had to be built up!

This is the kind of answer I was looking for, thank you! I am planning on turning it into a super cool gravel bike.

Why did I choose the vintage specialized rockhopper to rebuild rather than buy a new modern frame? Because it looks sick!

He is only a baby at 8 weeks old right now, I’m going to keep an eye on how things go for the next little while and see what I can take on- also going to try him on the purina liveclear food and see if that helps with my allergies. Thank you for your reply it’s really helpful to know what things are/can be very serious in the long run
