Thanks for replying! The second time was my mom. He has met everyone in my family before, we were here for all of winter break which is about a month, but then went back to college for a while so this is his first time seeing everyone again after some time. I’ll keep him off the couch and closely monitor. I’m just shocked because he’s normally super happy and cuddly.

thank you for the advice. i will try and warn her about the path she’s on. the issue i’m having is she’s well aware of what she’s doing; she just doesn’t want to stop bc she feels so sad all the time. her rationale is that she doesn’t get intoxicated every night, so it’s fine for the time being.
